Ok so on the surface this looks great!However, the wood has been treated with something that makes it smell.NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU WASH IT - IT STILL SMELLS!!!This smell transfers to what ever you store inside it... like cakes!After a few washes the wooden base started to bend which caused the glass lid to NOT fit, letting air inside.Very disappointing indeed for the price.

The strong varnish/oil on the board taints the taste if food placed on it.But looks pretty.(I have contacted the seller for feedback)

This cake stand is a great stand. However, even with a covering over the base, EVERY cake tastes like the base smells. I've washed it, covered it but nothing stop the food being tainted with the wood. Sorry, just being honest

Hard to say. Lid is good, it's a glass. Bottom is lightweight wood, but the problem is that it's not finished, there are some wooden bits coming out, scratched myself first time...

Ok so it’s perfect, but everything ends up tasting of the wood no matter how it’s wrapped/covered.I’ve cleaned it, oiled it, left it open and still everything end up tasting of wood 🤮🤮🤮

I started baking more as most people did in lockdown. Didn't want to spend a lot on a cake stand and this was a perfect buy. Wooden base makes it look a lot more expensive to what it actually is. It is large so will hold any cake, even multi tier ones. It also makes a great cheese stand.

This is a very sturdy and attractive addition to my kitchen. It's a good size so can hold large cakes, sandwiches and pastries etc. It looks and feels like great quality and I am very pleased with this purchase. It even looks good on my counter when it is empty! I would definitely recommend it.

To be honest it's a bit small but I like it so much I couldn't return it.
