For Art Transfer It's The Best Stuff
Tough Enough not to rip with pressure and carbon transfers quite well. Good stuff.

Great Pad, nice paper!
I think it's the texture I love the most! It's smooth for pencil blending and smudging on purpose.

Great for everyone!
I added these sketchbooks into our homeschool this year. Each kid has one that will last for the whole year, and they do a drawing assignment each day.The paper quality has been great for them to draw and sketch on. However, I do not think that sketchbook will hold up for the whole school year. The back is sturdy with a thick cardboard piece on it, but just from turning the pages each day, they are starting to tear out. For those that are more careful with the books or for those who tear out their sketches, this is not a problem. it's really a minor issue, and overall, we are pleased with these sketchbooks.

All around it's good paper. And you get a lot of it. But...
I absolutely love Strathmore sketchbooks. Their paper is next level. And they have all types for all artists. I wasn't expecting my typical 400 series awesome paper. It said that is was 200 series which they determine "good" and I do like the paper. I got it from their Strathmore store here on Amazon because I'm crash coursing it as a beginner artist who found art to be the most therapeutic way to spend my time with a lifelong progressively degenerative genetic chronic illness that has caused me to be in bed almost all the time. The thing is, I do my art stuff (even painting which is rarer than I'd like) on my bed. The reason I didn't give this paper 5 stars is because the large spiral causes my pages to slide around if I move and then it folds and creases my hard work (which makes sense for a thinner paper). Lastly my gel pens and ballpoint pens leave deep divets and even bleed through at times. In this case I can rarely use the other side of the page greatly minimizing the massive amount of pages I was expecting from this sketchbook. It has a ton of pages so that's not a huge deal and man was it cheap. I paid very little for aa lot of decent drawing paper that's good for swatching and sketching before final drawings, taking note and measurements and scrap drawing paper. I hate the spiral bound crazy amount of sliding around it does. The crevasses from my pens and the bleed through. So now I know to just spend the money for the better series and to have a bound sketchbook instead of the giant spiral.Overall, decent paper, extremely affordable so we'll worth buying. Definitely will not hold up to any sort.of wet medium. This is drawing paper only.Hope this helps some of you! And happy arting. You're getting better every time that pencil hits the paper!

Great for daughter's art
My young daughter needed a bunch of paper for school. This is a great option, not top end thickness, etc so dont feel too badly when she brings me a bunch of random scribbles on it with a brutal diagonal tear no where near the binding line.

As you would expect. Nice paper. Smudges nicely.
This is great, but the top/down version is better.
