Hardback?
Really annoying. This has arrived as paperback not hardback as advertised. It was for some one who struggles with the print size in paperbacks and its not available on kindle. Disappointing.

Actually it's quite a good read.....
Like a lot of the other reviewers listed above, I was never really much of an Anthea fan before her Perfect Housewife series appeared on our screens. After becoming addicted to that programme (and buying her recent How to be a Perfect Housewife book), I too found that I would like to read a little bit more about Ms Turner.I wouldn't say the book was slushy or self indulgent - just honest, and I found it an enlightning and interesting insight into the life and career of a woman who was at one time the golden girl of our TV screens.Anyway, I actually read the book from cover to cover in 24 hours (mind you I was in bed ill!), and really enjoyed it. It would be an excellent book to take on holiday!

Bloody Good Book, Bloody Good Person
Fools Rush in was my first autobiography i ever bought when i was 13 years of age. Which was 6 years ago.In this book Anthea shares with us her life from a very young age right up to present day. She started her carer on BBC Radio doing the travel report, and then got a contract to present the Saturday show programme UP2U. This was followed by Anthea presenting TOP OF THE POPS, BLUE PETER, NATIONAL LOTTERY, GMTV, WISH YOU WERE HERE and was in many other programmes. The book also contains her life away from the TV. Her life living with Bruno Brooks, marrige to Peter Powell and leaving him for a married man Grant Bovey, who she married in August 2000.Since this book was published she has appeared in Celebrity Big Brother, This Morning, Baby Makers, Celebrity Place In The Sun, I love Christmas and is making a comeback in Feb 2006 with a new programme shown by the BBC.I think its unfare that the public don't want nothing to do with her, She was our golden girl, everyone watched her so you can't now say you don't like her. She is lovely, and she works very hard for charities, like Debra & Chase.Anthea if you read this, thank you for being fantastic and signing your autobiography for me.

Grippingly dreadful
I must admit that I read this book for a bet - a friend offered me a decent sum of money, on the assumption that I would have neither the patience nor the mental strength to finish it. How eerily correct my friend (almost) was, for this book is testament to the fact, as well as my reading of it, that some people will humiliate themselves for money, and yet still find justification for doing so. This is so toe-curlingly awful that I recommend everyone reading this review to at least attempt to get past the first 20 pages. The self-aggrandising, nauseatingly righteous tone of this book creates an unintentionally fascinating trawl through the oddly modern phenomena of 'fame for fame's sake', complete with gleefully ignorant trampling over the feelings of family members, and the most appalling non-sensical witterings about her life and how she got there. Why anyone should care about 'I, Anthea' is a question that the reader will have have to address with their conscience. But for sheer mindless banality and jaw-dropping self righteousness, this book is in a class of its own.
