I got this product because I wanted to carry it to go on walks with my daughter. It’s loud and easy to use. The color is very cute. It’s small and discreet. I bought pepper spray in the same color to carry with it. I believe it adds a degree of safety, but I still recommend being smart about where you walk, and don’t walk alone or in the dark if at all possible. Safety in numbers! Don’t get this product as your only “life saving” device. It’s loud, but not shockingly loud. It’s high pitched but I don’t think the sound carries very far. It’ll get dogs barking, though. The product is good, but I’ll tell you like I’ve taught me daughter, in a true life threatening situation, be prepared to beat someone’s azz or run for your life, whichever odds will be best for you, and make as much noise in the process as possible!!! This little high pitched buzzer alone won’t likely do it…

That's a good WTF. I honestly wasn't believeing that this little thing would really make much of a noise, but with my granddaugter rolling out the door and off to college, I gave this thing a once over. I'm not saying that thing is a miracle device that gives a 100% promise to keep females from getting assaulted or raped but damn if it ain't some kind of loud. Even better, it's a 1 hand operation, provided that you already have it connected to your purse, belt loop or whatever. Then its just grab and pull. It won't stop until you make it stop. It also has a small flashlight, to help with keys or whatever. This thiing is freaking LOUD. I'm really happy I got this for her. Hopefully this will run off the criminal, and she won't have to resort on the other gift I got for her. Let's just say that one will blow your ear drums out and the other will blow out your...well....ummm....brains,

What I love about it is that it’s small ballpark approved and can be placed on a key ring

The color is nothing like the picture, more of a teal blue color rather than sky blue.

I'm glad I was able to find a personal keychain alarm that had a design where the pin does not come completely detached, when pulled to activate the alarm. Just pull to turn on and push back in to turn off.No worries about dropping the pin and losing it, or taking the time and effort to reinsert the pin afterwards.I also like the fact that it uses regular type AAA alkaline batteries, which I already have around the house. I do not like lithium batteries because I don't think they are as safe to use as alkaline type.The item came in a 2-pack, so I'm going to attach one to my purse so I'll always have it with me whenever I go out someplace, and the other one I'll leave on my nightstand within easy reach to scare away burglars and intruders if needed. It gives more peace of mind.

The media could not be loaded. I really love this product, I live in Canada so we aren’t allowed to carry pepper spray or those kitty cat shaped knuckle things so the personal alarms are the closest we can legally get to self defence. The cover for the battery compartment is held on by a little screw so it’s secure but still pretty easy to get off when you need to change the batteries. It takes 2 AAA batteries btw. The keychain part that clips onto your keys feels really secure and it definitely won’t come off by accident, to trigger the alarm you just pull the pin at the top and it pops out a little then to stop the alarm you just push it back in. The light flashes when the alarm is triggered and there’s even a little button on the side that turns the light on when you press it, the only downside is that you have to hold the button to keep the light on it doesn’t stay in for you once you press the button but it’s not really an issue. This makes me a feel a lot safer when I’m walking around in busy areas, especially in the downtown area of the city that I just moved to. I also have some late classes at the university I attend so I definitely feel safer when I’m walking around campus in the dark to get back to my car

Forget the add... This is not only for women! It can be use by children against bully, by elderly against agressors, men for any kind of reason (diversion, distraction, gaining seconds, tactical application, warning perimeter, medium sized wild life warning application, etc...),, as an emergency locator when when in critical situation, could even be use to break an "escalating" couple dispute ;-), and so on..Deafening loud high pitch sound that will agress anyone unless your "sonotone" is dead! ;-)
