Cabbage Patch Kids First Christmas/The Little Troll Prince (Double Feature)

The media could not be loaded.  I really smiked that I was able to introduce one of my childhood favorites to my daughter. Love it!

I bought this just for The Little Troll Prince. I saw it on television many times while growing up and it had a profound impact on my life and how I treat others. I knew about the Golden Rule but the wording was confusing as a child. This story gave me the Golden Rule from the trolls' point of view and then the humans' point of view, which allowed me, as a child, to better understand the rule's meaning.This is a beautifully animated story that brings in Christianity in the latter half. Although I was a Hindu at the time I watched this, I enjoyed it and came to love God more as a child.I connected with the main character as I grew older and realised that he reflected me in my life. I was different from the rest of the humans around me. This story shows you how to see through society, to be brave and separate yourself from it when you realise that you don't fit in. Go out and you'll find others like you. Stay with them. Don't be confused by what you've taught by the society you grew up with. Trust your conscience and your heart. You'll know the difference between right and wrong and good or bad. Look inside yourself and you'll just know who the true God is. And when you change—when you connect with God—you'll come to understand why this story has been telling you all these years that "God loves all He made, even evil trolls." God loves all and he gave me a chance to step away from this system of things created by humans so that I may draw closer to him. Everyone has that chance, even evil trolls.This is a beautiful movie. I'll probably watch the Cabbage Patch Kids too and see what it's about.If you loved The Little Troll Prince, I highly recommend Rankin/Bass Christmas specials, especially "The Little Drummer Boy"—a film that had an even more impact on my life.Thank you for releasing this on DVD. I can purchase what I love and support the creators instead of hunting the internet for torrents and uploads.

I love the little troll prince video, it’s the sweetest, and isn’t afraid to teach the true meaning of Christmas. Which is Christ the Lord.

I LOVED the little troll prince when I was a kid. I taped in off of tv onto a video tape back in the 90's. I literally watched it until it could no longer play. For YEARS, I have searched for this movie on Cartoon network, DVD, anything other than VHS. When I saw this I screamed with excitement!!! I finally found it!!! It is a cute story about a nice little troll prince who lives with other mean trolls who don't like him much because he is too kind. His father is king and him and his family are expected to be bad trolls, they even attend a "sinister school" that teaches them to be bad and mean. The nice troll prince get tied to a tree by his mean troll family and the tree is cut down by a cute little family celebrating Christmas. They show him how to love and the meaning of Christmas. It has some religious influences, being a Christmas movie it tells the story of Jesus, etc. It is cute and has cute little songs. My five year old LOVED it!!! The Cabbage Patch kids movie I had never heared of though... I have not watched it yet. Bought this for the little troll prince and I am so happy I did.

Oh the memories this brings back! I loved the Little Troll Prince whilst growing up! I'd never heard of the Christmas for Cabbage Patch kids, but it wasn't completely bad. I remember the dolls when I was young, never any episodes or T.V. series. It wasn't as questionable as I anticipated.

I was excited to find this old time Christmas movie I loved as a kid. I’m very pleased.

My review is for "The Little Troll Prince," as I have no interest in the Cabbage Patch Kids Christmas special also included on this DVD. I loved "Troll Prince" as a kid and really wanted to share it with my niece. I'm so happy I now can own it on DVD and can relive those childhood memories for years to come. It is a great story about the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus. Also, the songs are pretty catchy. I highly recommend this movie as a great way to get in the Christmas spirit.

The kids loved it! Singing along to the songs from the films. Happy kids!

I have been searching for this film for many, many years, and was pleased to find it here. The packaging was nice and it looked like a DVD you would buy in the store. The image quality was probably what it would have been like in 1983, but it looks a little less polished now considering that technology has come so far since then. It wasn't optimized like old Disney films have been, but then again it's not a title that demands a big-screen remake. I was pleased to just get my hands on a copy, so the image quality isn't a 'make it' or 'break it' thing. I was disappointed that playback is limited to certain devices, but that's because they don't want anyone copying it. I like to watch things on my iPad, so I would have bought a digital copy as well, if they offered it. It was delivered on the first date of the delivery-estimate date range.I would recommend this company and movie title. Overall, very pleased.

Was looking forward to this for my daughter but the disc keeps skipping from the first time I played it. Tried in several dvd players and it unfortunately is the disc.

Perfect condition, lovely Christmas movies.

Brings back childhood memories.
