I purchased this for my 70HP Yamaha 70ETLG. it fit like a glove, the install was easy and it came with the hardware kit and red loctite for the shear bolts.My boat is a duck hunting and fishing rig so it sees a lot of shallow water and logs hiding just below the surface in the creek/river. The second weekend i took the boat out with this skeg guard I hit a log going about 30 MPH. my boat does have a vance breakaway jack plate that saves me a lot of damage but the skeg guard did exactly what it was designed to do. it slightly bent from the impact and one of the two shear bolt broke off like it was designed to do. Luckily i didn't loose the guard, but a little hammer work and i got it straight again and purchased a spare hardware kit to get back on the water. Without the guard i would have most definitely broke the prop shaft, or fowled the prop. Don't spend anymore time deciding, just buy it.

Just had my gelcoat redone and this will definitely help keep the bow area looking sharp and not scratch when winching the boat. Great product
