Okay, so the first DVR failed 1 day before the warranty period expired and Hiseeu customer support was unreachable. (seems to be the norm for them) That pissed me off! However Amazon made good. After ordering another company's unit that was incompatible, I ordered another Hiseeu.The images are fantastic! Day or night. And the new remote access AP is a real improvement over XMEYE.We'll have to wait till Nov. of '25 to see if this outlasts the original unit but, the performance is worth the risk. The improvements in software and interface since my original unit are noteworthy too.Paired with their 5MP cameras, I find this DVR extremely hard to beat for the price.The equipment I'll give 5 stars, the company gets 5 WTF's.

Easy set up to computer monitor. It's a great and easy to use surveillance system. Have 8 cameras wired to my outside perimeter of my house to watch all side for intruders. In this day and age you can't lbe too safe. I've even had the police department look at my recording for a crime that was committed in the neighborhood and said I have a nice system.

We originally bought this system 3-4 years ago and the receiver stopped working recently. Always in the past the customer service was very good. So we decided just to replace the receiver so we didn't have to run all new cameras again. We got this receiver in May and just recently reached out to them for it was not allowing us to view anything on the app for it was pulling the old device, at first we got a response of things to try, but since they are in China the response is very delayed and there is a major language barrier as well. I have since sent 3-4 more messages and now they are ghosting me. We decided to buy a whole new system and now cannot return this one. Live and learn this system is very hard to navigate and the customer service isn't great.

I purchased this to replace a slow Zosi that when updated lost functionality (they took away IP Cam Capability between 1.6.4 and 1.7.2 firmware updates, then swore up and down it never had that functionality even though I had recordings of those IP Cams!).This replaced a 8 cam system I had. Great price at the time of purchase of 69.99 I do believe.This unit has may more bells and whistles and may be overwhelming for one who is not used to DVRs or are computer illiterate. For me, it was nice to have so many features unlocked.After 8 months, it inexplicably went into a boot loop situation even though plugged into a UPS system and having not lost power. They sent firmware update, but we couldn't recover. HISEEU honored a 1 year warranty and shipped a new one in a very quick cadence.Their product price has gone up quite a bit in recent times, but knowing the feature set and customizations available, I'd say it's definitely worth it. Also has a hybrid analog/IP mode if you're slowly converting your cameras over to IP. If you put it in IP only mode, alone, you can record up to either 12 or 16 cams. Either way, it's great for converting from an Analog to IP Cam Setup![Though, with a 10/100 NIC you might need a USB Gigabit Card to get all channels at good settings, haven't gotten that far yet).

It has a decent night vision

The system itself seems pretty good with it's very clear quality, but, the remote viewing app is very bad. I had XMeye Pro APP for my last security system and that is why I am upgrading it now. That APP will not allow you to view it on your PC unless you are hardwired in, and the remote viewing quality is horrible.
