The material is a tensile plastic but definitely lasts a long time. I used this on my watch to try on a wall and the wall chipped. It's great for emergency situations or students. It's small and compact and does what it's built for. These can be attached to anything, a watch is best for greater range of motion and force. I'm definitely buying this again. More range of colors would be great!

These things are cool except I paid a fortune for them because I really wanted them and every other site that had once carried these no longer carried them. Even the site that introduced them didn't have them any more. So it was like I was buying the last ones anywhere and that's how they got me to pay so much for them. Seriously I paid like 40 or 50 bucks for 2 packages with two in each one. When they were easy to find the price was like 11 dollars or something dramatically less. But I was aware that I was paying 3 times as much for them and I did it anyway because I wanted them. They are a good product. Very sharp. Great for putting on your shoe laces. I tried putting one on my watchband but I kept hurting myself with it. But yes, they will do some damage.
