KidCoSafeway Angle Mounted Extensions Kit - Heavy Duty Baby Gate Extension Set

Product was great at preventing my 1.5 y/o from going down the stairs. About 3 weeks ago (less than 3 months after purchase,) one of the verticals randomly broke off as soon as the first one went, it took less than a Week for every vertical on the extension to break their welds. I’m back to worrying about my little guy falling down the stairs.***Bought a second extension a little more than 1.5 months ago and it fell apart again. What a joke. No communication from seller or kidco

Only gate that works for our stairs. However, after 6 months we now have 4 broken bars total on our 2 gates. Bars have a small tach weld on each bar. Eventually they will flex and crack, and eventually the bars will fall off. Looks like I have no choi e but to order replacement extensions now... cheaply made and not built to last. They could at least weld the bars all the way around so they stay attached.

Very easy to install! This will allow you to add 10” to the normal 42” max width of the Kidco angle gate. This extension is 10”, so if you need between 1-9”, you will need to adjust the original plastic brackets holding the two gate frames until you get it to the desired width.

Does the job. The original gate was just a few inches short.

Doesn’t fit the regular kidco gate but my husband rigged it so it works and it doesn’t look terrible but definitely check to make sure it goes with the gate you have

I PURCHASED THIS ITEM TO ATTACH TO A KIDCO GATE THAT WAS TOO SHORT FOR THE SPACE I NEEDED, WHICH ALSO HAPPENED TO BE ON AN UNUSUAL ANGLE. THE GATE EXTENSION ATTACHED EASILY TO THE KIDCO GATE I ALREADY OWNED. IT WORKS PERFECTLY IN THE SPOT. I WOULD PURCHASE THIS ITEM AGAIN. THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THE ITEM 2 STARS INSTEAD OF 4 IS THAT THE QUESTIONS DID NOT RELATE TO THE ITEM. (FOR EXAMPLE, HOW MUCH FUN IS THIS TOY? AND HOW WOULD YOU RATE THIS TOY'S EDUCATIONAL VALUE?? -- THE ITEM IS NOT A TOY.)

This works great at the top of the stairs. I suggest to lift to unlock with two hands just to reduce the stress on the hinged side railing. I know you can not always when you have a child in your arms but if you mount it right you can use your foot to lift the hinged side and your hand the other side.
