If you have a kio pond, you need something to filter the water and this works well. Cut it to the size of your sump pit, in fact use a couple layers - they won't slow down your circulation. Take them out every month or two and hose them off, preferable where the runoff will flow into your flower beds. The flowers will benefit from the fish emulsion. I also got a bag of bio-balls that I laid on top of the filter pads. When I take them out to hose off, they have very little junk in them compared to the filter pads. Bio-balls no, filter pads, yes!

I have used this type filter for years. Buying it in a roll allows you to cut your own filter size which saves money over pre cut ones. It filters out what needs to be filtered and lasts along time. I usually get three to four years before they start to fall apart.

Over priced

I use this material for my pond skimmer. I have seven 10-15" koi in my pond. I need to remove the material about every 1-2 weeks for cleaning. They spray out very easy, making it great to clean. This is the first time I have purchased from this seller. Most material like this typically last me about a year or so. I cut 2 pieces square from the roll and stack them one in front of the other. I think the material is too expensive. this is one of the most expensive spends on my pond I make on an annual basis.

I have used these filters over and over again and love them. They catch everything and are easy to clean.I replace them as needed maybe twice a year and that's because I like using new ones. I definitely recommend these for those of you that own ponds.
