Excellent book. Loads of detail but still very readable. Also lots of close-up pictures showing important markings and features. It’s clearly well researched and the author has set out his sources. Has also disregarded sources considered unreliable. Historical anecdotes add to the work. For such a wide topic it’s very well done. Thank you very much, sir.

A must have for anyone who is interested in rolling block rifles, the research done in text is invaluable. But in my opinion this book should have more photos (the book has black and white photos) and for them to be in colour. More high quality and detail photos would elevate this even higher in quality as a reference or resource material.Still amazing book. Would recommend

This book is a great overview of history, has lots of interesting details and anecdotes, and is well written.

Great book for research. It goes into extreme detail about variations between models.

A very well researched book. I found many facts about rolling block rifles that I didn't know, and excellent photographs. This book is a must for both the casual shooter and dedicated collector. .
