Great recipe book for great steaks!
This book gives you all the guidance you'll need to make the juiciest, most succulent steaks you can imagine. I enjoyed eating a great steak at Smith & Wollensky in New Orleans when their restaurant was here. I miss them now that they're gone. At least now I can enjoy an incredibly delicious steak, cooked a la Smith & Wollensky, in their absence.

Actually a great cookbook
Some other reviews of this cookbook made me thinking I would be dissappointed, but I was very pleased with both the quality and quantity of the recipes in this book. Quite a delight really.

I expected much more
Found the book very disappointing. I purchase a cookbook such as this because I enjoy the restaurant and have an interest in duplicating their recipes. This book has very few recipes and addresses the business which I candidly have minimal interest in. I instead quickly gave it to a charity as it failed to allow me to archive my objective for the purchase.

Smith and Wollensky Steak Book
Ripoff. Not even a good coffee table book. Pepin's autobiography above literally has twice as many recipes. Took S&W to a upscale consignment store and they couldn't sell it, even in the 1 dollar mark down section.
