Not thick enough. Padding and punch absortion is average at best. Also limits visibility. Would not recommend.

Nice qulity and very comfortable headgear, does not move around when you get hit and protects externally well.

I would recommend sizing up one size when order this headgear.

Not the most comfortable headgear but for sure has great padding for sparring. Chin velcro strap would have been better than a belt buckle but still highly recommend if you are wanting a headgear for boxing.

I stopped using this headgear after a few sparring sessions. Each session was 8-12 3min rounds, so I built up a lot of sweat. The 'felt' liner on the inside soaked the sweat right up. After sparring, I weighed the sweat-laden headgear -- it was 1lb, 13oz, which is twice as heavy as my Winning FG-5000, which is not exactly light. I didn't notice the extra weight until my sparring partners pointed out my reduced head movement. I picked up someone else's headgear, and it weighed like nothing.Finally, I can't really tell a reduction in shock absorption by the d3O material. Strikes feel a bit more ... vibrating? Like a bell ringing? But they don't feel stronger or softer.
