Summer Savory or Oregano? I couldn’t tell!
I’m giving this four stars for freshness but the taste is indistinguishable from my Greek Oregano. It tastes very different to my Mexican oregano which is a totally different plant, but I wouldn’t bother buying again, I would just substitute Italian or Greek Oregano (any store oregano not labeled Mexican oregano will be Mediterranean oregano) for summer savory.I tested each about five times back and forth and honestly I can’t tell the difference in flavor at all!Not worth stocking in my opinion if you already have oregano.I do like to have Mexican and Mediterranean oregano on hand though as they are quite different.Anyhow, this Summer Savory (from Turkey) was disappointing. Now I’m wondering if this is actually oregano?! I have a good palate and honestly there was absolutely no difference - not even a hint.If this review has been helpful to you would you please click the helpful button? It's savory
Good, dried savory: not fresh but good as dried herbs

Great for tea
My husband likes to add it to his black tea. We tried another brand but he asked me to get this one again. It reminds him of "chabrets" they used to add to tea when camping in the mountains.

I’m not a savory connoisseur
I’m not an expert when it comes to seasonings, but I do love savory - both summer and winter varieties. I always use it in combination with other seasonings, so it’s difficult for me to discern the subtle differences in flavor. I can say for certain that the Starwest savory that I received has a wonderful aroma, and it works well in the stews and bean dishes that I’ve made with it.

Love my savory!
Summer savory is difficult to find here (OK/AR). I prefer leaf, not ground. Excellent to use in potato salad, and a pot of beans (pulls the gas out!). Thanks for a beautiful, fresh herb. I will definitely come back to this company for more herbs I use often.

A HUGE bag
I have a beef tenderloin recipe that calls for savory in the rub. I can never find it in the Atlanta area. Most stores just give me a blank look when I ask for it. Kroger, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Publix, etc.... I had never made the recipe with savory so wanted to actually do it correctly for a holiday party. I ordered this. My goodness, I will need to give some of it away. One could never use this much savory unless you're in the restaurant business! That said, it turned out to be quite the bargain. And was delicious and flavorful!
