Battery did not fix the problem. Looks like a printed circuit card issue.

I now many reviews stated that the battery was thicker than the original and the rubber mat didn't clip on correctly. That was not my experience. As others have said, the battery comes with a small cross point screwdriver, However, the battery is secured with torx screws. Fortunately I had the proper size torx bit so not big deal. The screws are short but thy are a very fine thread. They taker a lot of turning to snug down well. The rubber mat actually clips around the battery, not into the groove in the speaker body. It took a bit of massaging to get it set in place but for me (with the Bose sound link mini 1) it sits perfectly, just like UEM.

The media could not be loaded. I've had the BOSE Sound Link Mini for YEARSSSSS. It's was one of the best purchases I've ever made in regards to technology so you can understand my grief when I noticed it wasn't connecting to my device. After some research, It turns out that it could be something as simple as an old battery. This unit cost $$$ so I was willing to spend $$ to save an otherwise "still in good shape" speaker. I ordered this battery and when it arrived was a little anxious that maybe I wouldn't know how to replace the original one, NOT THE CASE. it was a simple few steps:Pull the rubber off the bottom of the deviceRemove the 4 screws in the bottom of the batteryUnplug the old batteryPlug in the new one (no wires needed to be connected, it was plug and play literally"Put the screws back and the cover back in placeEASY PEASY. the new battery came with a little charge so I was able to verify that it was in-fact just a battery because I connected right away to the blue tooth. I let it fully charge and have been back to listening to my favorite music streaming services on my favorite blue tooth speaker.I'm thrilled to have gotten what could be many more years of listening out of this speaker.SG

Everything was fine EXCEPT the shipment came with a small phillips head screwdriver and the Bose unit uses Torx Head screws which were very tight. I could not use the provided Phillips Head screwdriver to remove or install the battery screws but when I used the proper Torx #T8 Head Screwdriver from my own toolbox, I was able to easily install the new battery. If you don't have your own small Torx T8 screwdriver, you will have to purchase or borrow one.

This battery died after only a few months of use. My original Bose battery lasted for many years. This is not a value
