works well
i went with the medium as that is my average shirt size and when i got it i thought hmm those sleeves are short but everything else fits perfectly. once i tried on my gloves with this and started grind some metal i quickly remembered i usually roll up my long sleeves to keep them out of the way when working so after i realized they were meant to be like that i decided i really like it. nice quality, heavyduty and yet light weight. Not to uncomfortable in the summer yet warm enough in the winter. very comfortable overall. with all the sparks and molten metal i have thrown at it i have not had any holes. I have used it for smaw/stick, gmaw/mig/mag, gtaw/tig welding and haven't been burned yet. Even when grinding i bearly feel the warmth from the sparks, and it even does a decent job protecting against flying wires from a wire wheel, i have only had 2 wires actually penetrate into the skin. After 1 hand wash it shrunk slightly but still feels like new. Ive had it for 6 months welding almost everyday and very little signs of wear. i will buy this again once this one wears out.

For a hobbyist, I think it's great!
Anyone looking for a welding jacket like this is probably like me. Someone who got a cheaper welder, started to weld, and went "wait, I can get sunburned?". I then browsed forums, looked up different models, and settled on this one.A few things to know, you should be aware of what kind of welding / grinding this is aimed at. This is not meant for overhead welding or anything that is going to have potential for giant puddles of molten metal to fall on you. This is meant for sparks and light slag. If you need that level of protection, you're going to need leather. That being said, this jacket works perfect for my needs. I'm just a hobbyist using a flux core welder, mainly welding standing over a bench.Fitment was good. I'm 6'2 and 175lbs. I notoriously have issues with purchasing jackets, since my arms and torso are long, but I'm skinny. For me, the medium fits great. Comes down close to my wrists, and the waist adjustment makes it fit tight. Have no issues getting the sleeves in gloves. It also comes far up my neck, which I like.A few features that I don't think I saw in the listing; There are two inner pockets (one has a zipper) and two arm pockets (would fit a normal sized pen).Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. I think this works great for a hobbyist who wants peace of mind for a low cost.

Good all around shop jacket but a little light for heavy welding
Great for the price but not really suitable for heavy welding.I use it for mechanical work and light welding. The material is basically heavy denim so it will burn with direct contact to molten metal, but definitely keeps the sparks off.The fit is really nice. I just followed the size chart and it looks great on me. Very professional considering it has flames down the arms.I would like to see this same jacket sold as a mechanics jacket with rear side pockets and a breast pocket

Light, cool, well fit. Buying my second one.
Bought this 3 years ago for my husband who welds a moderate amount for his job. Now, two snaps have been damaged beyond use, probably from grinding grit, so I'm getting him another just like it, and also the Bsx Bxrb9C 2Xl Blue With Blue Flames Welding Jacket. He likes the collar which is comfortable and protective, sleeves are good length, pockets provide good place for scribes and pens. Theres a zipper inside pocket as well. He's a big guy, and the XXL fits great and allows good range of movement. there are a few adjustable snaps for fit. Speaking of fit, we noticed that the Bsx Bxrb9C XXL Blue With Blue Flames Welding Jacket runs ever-so-slightly smaller then the jacket on this review, but still an ok fit for XXL. Also the new jacket on this review runs just a tad smaller in the cuffs then the one i bought three years ago.Best thing about this jacket is its lightweight. He welds outdoors in a variety of conditions, most of them hot, but this one doesn't cook him like his leathers do. AND, no one else has a jacket like it! Hubby note: he mentions that the snaps tend to get full of grinding grit and will start to not work well. He has also had a bit of hot metal land on one of the snaps and weld him in. :) But, for the price, a good jacket.

Love it.. Nice heavy material but still lightweight. Looks good, fits well (bought xxl.. 6'2 250lbs) wear it over a underarmour sweatshirt no problem.I don't button the cuffs my welding gloves cover that area.100% recommend
