The Best Small Town (Adventures in Odyssey) Audio CD – CD, September 1, 2008

This was a gift for my 7 year old granddaughter. If you are looking for a gift that has good family values you won't be disappointedwith the Odyssey adventure team. The stories always have a good basic value that teaches children how to solve everydayissues with family and friends. Focus on the Family does a wonderful job putting these stories that really fit any age group.I highly recommend the wonderful stories they come up with. You won't be disappointed kids and even moms and dads.

Adventures in Odyssey is a welcome friend in our family. My kids love listening to the stories unfold while riding in the car or before falling asleep at night. I appreciate the highly imaginative stories being told. It is great for my kids to listen w/their ears to the story details and fill in the pictures in their own imaginations. It develops good listening skills and promotes focus. Great tools and just plain good fun. Glad to have these CD's in our home entertainment/educational library.

As always with Odyssey, I am expecting nothing but the very best... and I am rarely disappointed. This album just happened to have stories that were not that interesting to me. To be honest, if this was the first adventures in Odyssey that I had listened to (instead of being a fan for 10+ yrs.) I might not have bought another.If you are new to Odyssey, I recommend instead "The Novacom Saga," a riveting mystery, which I consider to be some of their best work.

Several of the voice actors that were apart of AIO's early years come back for a surprise visit. Including the actors that played: Lucy Cunningham-Schultz, Jack Davis, Curt Stevens and James (Jimmy) Barclay! ...... NOTE: the 2 part Episode "Accidental Dilemma" has Jason Whittaker in a tunnel where an explosion happens and he is **presumed dead**. This may be scary for some children.

This is a cool and awesome book, I thought great price for it. Would like to buy rest of series that cheap.

Fast fast delivery and very suitable for young people learning today.

We haven't had any Adventures in Odyssey CD's for a few years and so I thought this would be a great one to introduce my 3 year old to, but I was sadly disappointed. No one was really interested in hearing ALL of the commentary, and 3 of the CD's were just one long story, which was hard for my younger ones to really follow. All in all, it was a bit boring for the usually exciting and entertaining Adventures in Odyssey.
