Rhino Armor Storage Trunk

I received the Rhino Armour Trunk (Large/Black) in April 2013. I wrote asking the only reviewer to explain why she/he thought the trunk was not worth the price, with no response.I ordered the trunk anyway and am very glad that I did. I've been buying Seward Trunks from Walmart for approx. $35.00 each and they do not hold up under daily wear and tear, The quality of the Rhino far out paces the Seward. It's like comparing steel to cardboard.The trunk is beautiful, strong and the wheels slip on and off easily. I would find it worth the price if I had not seen the Jumbo priced at $169.00.But I am very happy with the quality, shipping and appearance of this trunk. I intend to buy more, for storage and shipping.Now if I could only find a high security lock the will fit the hasp of the Rhino and at a reasonable price, I would be ecstatic.

Very sturdy trunk. nice looking. We purchased this (black) for my son in college. Nice product. Definitely could use it for a bench and even stand on it. I thought the wheels came with it but I misread. Not that heavy though for a college guy and a friend to help carry it down the hall.

I read the reviews on many different trunks. It had to last through my grandson's 4 years of college at least and hopefully longer. It is sturdy and well built. I think it will do the job nicely. He likes it a lot, also.

well built and quality parts make up this fine trunk which are the 2 biggest reasons i purchased this trunk.

This review is only for the trunk itself, not the vendor as I purchased it through a different company.I took a chance and ordered two of the XXL black trunks as I have a number of personal things I want to save but have out of the way and secure.These are well-made trunks. The outside looks just as good as it does in the pictures. Sturdy! I also ordered the shelf, word lock and wheels.Glad I did. With all of my things and the weight of the trunk (125-140lbs all together)the wheels will make it easy to move and give extra life to the leather handles.Just an FYI and why my 4 1/2 star rating.1. I was under the impression, from my previous experience with older trunks, that there would be a wooden lip surrounding the inside of the trunk that serves as the shelf holder. There isn't. Instead, there are four medal dowel inserts. They are heavy and fit snuggly into the pre-drilled holes.2. There's only one hinge on the lid's right corner but not the left. I wish they could have added one on the other side for extra support.3. The lock hasp, like another reviewer stated, may not be compatible with all locks. I haven't tried but it looks like a common school locker lock MAY fit but I don't think an industrial strength lock would.Overall, I'm very happy with my choice and am glad I spent the extra money on something that will last a life-time.
