Great ship in the game. The Federation U.S.S. Pegasus is a great surprise in battle.

Great Addition to the Game
This has been a great addition to our STAW collection and is one of my son’s favorite Federation ships. Not a powerhouse by any means, but very maneuverable and fun.

Preprinted ships are better than the “Deep Cuts”
I collect these for a Stat Trek Adventures game. The scale is way off ship to ship, which is fine for the game piece’s original intent. When you get pre painted ships, the level of detail is high quality. However the “Deep Cuts” style ships, the piece quality is not near as high as the “main set pieces” of hero ships. Overall, I would say grab these for either Attack Wing or for other gaming purposes.

Buy for the ship - the cards are weak
==Ship==This ship is highly maneuverable, but slow. It has the entire range of moves for 1-3 - including both 2 "come about" and 3 "come about". Very few other ships have that versatility. It also has no red moves. You can do a 3 sharp turn as a standard move.Green moves are 1 & 2 straight and bank. White moves are 2 turn, 2 come about and all threes - straight, bank, turn and come about.Where this ship lacks is speed - there's no moves above three, and there are no back-up moves. It's an 18/20 point ship - comparable to the USS Equinox (Nova class). Costing only 18/20 points, it's pretty weak. 2 attack, 3 defense, 3 hull and 1 or 2 shields. With this maneuverability and low cost, it's a good support ship. It only allows for two tech upgrades and two crew upgrades. The model itself is highly detailed, although the unique double-decker construction of the ship seems to have posed some problems with the manufacture and there are some visible seems and slightly out of alignment joints. The color is the very odd baby-blue that WizKids seems to think the Federation ships are colored. I'd like to re-paint it like I did the Enterprise-D, but don't think I could get the same level of detail as this ship has.==Cards==The cards are an interesting lot - I haven't played this ship or these cards against anyone yet, but they seem weak with one or two exceptions. This kit comes with an admiral card -Erik Pressman - which is nice, but this admiral actually *reduces* the captain skill points of the ship he's assigned to! Harsh!! You can use the admiral card to either disable or discard a tech upgrade in order to get either +1 or +2 attack dice. So, a pretty nice action, but at the cost of lowering your captain's skill.Another card that impacts your captain skill is a young Will Riker. He adds +3 to your captain's skill, and instantly negates "communication failure" or "injured captain" critical damage cards. This ship does come with a cloaking card to allow Federation ships to cloak. It's not as good as the cloaking device that comes with the USS Defiant. This cloaking device requires you roll an attack die each time you activate it and if you get a hit (not crit) then you take one damage. However, the nice thing is that you don't lose your action and you take no damage if you overlap another ship. So if you're playing a player who likes to put his/her ship in your way to strip you of actions, then they can't do that to this ship. The cloaking device has a +5 sp cost if equipped on a non-Oberth class ship. The other cards aren't much to write about. To give you an idea of how weak they are, the mission this ship comes with allows you 50 points for your ship. I cannot get the ship up to 50 points with the cards that come with it.==Mission==The mission that comes with this ship is a solo mission. I generally enjoy solo missions like the one with the D'Kyr vulcan ship or the USS Voyager. I've played both those missions multiple times. This mission involves traversing an asteroid field, and is honestly quite boring. I've played it once and doubt I'll play it again.
