Worked great!
Easy to cut large limbs even with shorter handles than I expected.

Not exactly what I wanted but I'm getting better at manipulating them
The loppers are high quality, but the "mouth" isn't big enough. It's hard to aim and grasp the saplings I'm trying to prune. Handles are longer than I need. I much prefer my Fiskers PowerGear2 loppers. Handles are shorter, mouth opens wider and is easier to aim. The Fiskers loppers are effective in pruning invasive elm saplings at the base. But the Omstead loppers are sharp, and if I look carefully at where I'm trying to cut, I aim better.

Great light weight, power gear bypass lopper
Highly recommend this Olmstead geared bypass lopper! It cuts exceedingly well through larger branches that I would normally struggle with using regular loppers. The power gear is simple and works great. The lopper overall, including the blade head, is slim and trim (not bulky), to get into tight spots. And it’s light in weight. Makes my pruning projects so much easier. The Olmstead geared bypass lopper is perfect for the smaller limbs, easily handling 1”, maybe slightly more. Will see if it holds up to repeated use.

Effortless cutting
Made like a bolt cutter. Less effort when cutting

Power in a small package
These are the shortest of the long handle type that I found. I haven't used them ext yet, but I have cut some dead bush, some as large as fit. These have handled every cut with ease. No sign of unhealthy flex or twist. I don't see any reason these won't last for years. The down side of gear loppers is the amount of handle actuation required to open the jaws.

Great compact pruner
I bought this pruner for 2 reasons: compact size and all metal construction. Finally got around to using it during deer season and it performed flawlessly.Took down 1 inch branches and vines without flinching while not being too heavy or cumbersome to carry

Does not cut completely through fibers of most branches
Overall, these loppers will do the job of pruning softwood branches 3/4" and less. The reason I didn't give a better rating is that the "bypass" of the blades don't actually come close enough to each other to complete the cut. As such, many fibers of the branch are left intact for the person cutting the branch to require a good pull to sever the branch from the rest of the tree.

Very lightweight but strong
I'm using this device to cut down bamboo which I plan to use in my garden area as plant stakes and a border for a plastic mesh type fencing to help keep rodents out. So far I'm very impressed with the way it can cut through the bamboo so quickly
