Design Toscano Hapsburg Mirror, Walnut

This table is absolutely beautiful! All hand carved and VERY solid craftsmanship. Deep and rich real mahogany wood with a glossy and smooth marble top, all top-notch materials. The pictures accurately represent what you should expect and is actually a bit larger than anticipated, but I'm not complaining.The table comes in two pieces, the marble top and a solid one-piece wooden bottom. The only assembly required was to place the rather heavy top on the wooden base. The only drawback is that the top just sort of rests on the bottom piece and is not really secured in place or has any grooves to sit in, but the solid marble top weighing something close to 80 pounds feels fairly sturdy once it is lined up properly.Both were packaged and shipped very professionally and with care. Two huge boxes arrived, so prepare to have lots of space for unpacking. The bottom was wrapped entirely in a thin soft foam-like sheet to protect the finish and all edges and corners were secured tightly with custom foam fittings to prevent damage inside the thick cardboard box. The marble top was secured inside a strong wooden lattice box which required about 20-30 screws to be removed in order to properly open. Make sure you have a good phillips-head power drill handy as opening this to get to the top was the most time-consuming part of the process.Overall, I am incredibly happy with this purchase and I cannot overstate how great the detail is in the wood work. Truly a stunning piece of an antique replica (replica almost feels like the wrong word to use here, but it is what it is) and something that will surely stand the test of time to become a family heirloom. You would be hard pressed to find something similar of this kind of quality craftsmanship and material these days, you really get what you pay for in this case. I couldn't be happier with this table and recommend this to anyone looking to buy something truly special. 5 stars across the board!
