National 3543 Multi-Purpose Seal for Chevrolet Cruze

This seal is for the right hand side (passenger) of the transmission for the halfshaft. After 26 years and 140,000 miles, the original seal has started to leak on my 89 Buick LeSabre. I turned to Amazon to find a good seal at a much better price than locally. I have had very good luck with National seals in the past, so I purchased this one. It doesn't say in the description, but this is a double lip seal, which is what I ideally wanted. Sometimes on car axles, there are poor spots where this seal has to do its job, and that will eat the seal and start a leak. This double lip seal has a second part of the sealing portion so that if the main part wears away, it will still work. 3 months and 6,0000 miles later, I have no more leaks on the garage floor!

Seals are good or not better than OEM. Replaced clutch on my vehicle and put these in as preventative maintenance!
