Finally, decent wool socks under $15!
So, first off, if you - like me - have been buying those 6 packs of ultra soft, high % wool socks sold at Costco etc, those are very soft & very stretchy, but they do not last. 2 years later, almost all 12 I bought have huge holes. Not sure if the % is a lie or the construction/material quality are poor. So these might seem like a not great deal, but they are also very soft to your feet, and they are definitely good wool. You can feel that they are made with over half natural fibers, they are soft but very sturdy. Much warmer than the cheapie 75% wool ones. And they stretch less, which is a good sign long term. I decided $13 a pair really wasn't bad for socks that I really think could last 5-7 yrs or longer, invested in 3 pairs. I wish they weren't white lol, but I m happy to get such a strong, supportive, cozy comfy sock at this price. I really like how they feel when you are just sitting around...you would never call them spa socks but their soft texture and supportive thickness make them a joy to wear. I'm not a USA USA USA American but after every search term led me back to the crappy socks, I tried "wool socks American made" and found these and other good quality options. If you need to walk a dog, shovel snow, or catch a bus in cold temps, you will never regret owning good wool blend socks, even if you buy only one or two pairs, and wash & dry them in your bathroom like the burgermeister runs your town (reference to a 60s Xmas TV special lol). I'll be ordering more once I've tested them thru this winter.

Good socks!
These are great, thick and comfortable. Form to your feet like I expect from wool, warm and good space in the toe box. True to size, women’s US 9 = medium.Admittedly I will probably stick to wearing this white pair for everyday fashion versus hiking or fitness use, but regardless these are good quality socks.

Very good overall.
Wool, white crew socks are hard to find. I will buy two more pairs.

Very comfortable socks
I got rid of the athletic socks that I had because they were tight around my calf. These socks are not tight. They are very comfortable and I will be ordering more. These socks are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Almost perfect athletic sock
I have worn Wigwam 625 wool blend socks for many years for both athletic activities and working around the house and yard. Unfortunately, these seem to be difficult to find at times and when available their pricing has increased significantly. So, based on reviews, I tried a couple of pairs of these similar FoxRiver socks. I would rate the material excellent - fully equal to the Wigwam. However, I find the sizing to run slightly too small. I wear a 10 or 10-1/2 narrow or medium width shoe which correlates to a large sock size. The FoxRiver Large socks are somewhat difficult to put on for me, especially over the heel and ankle. The upper part of the sock (cuff ??) is also somewhat shorter than the Wigwam, but this is not an issue. If the sizing were slightly more generous, I might buy these over the Wigwam based on availability and price.

No wonder special forces recommend these things
Usually I'll wear crappy socks to and the from I'll wear these to avoid fatigue. That way these last longer. I walked 4 miles in these. Probably the most comfortable load bearing walk I've ever had.

Good socks, weird chemistry
This was my first experience with these white wool socks, and I was excited to find them after Wigwam discontinued their "Husky" white wool socks (for which I had had trouble finding replacements). The FoxRiver socks arrived in good time, fit well and are generally nice and soft and warm. They do, however, also have some unusual chemical in the fabric - perhaps it's the result of their being "shrink treated" - I'm not sure. For most people this would not be an issue, but for anyone like myself who suffers from chemical sensitivity, it could be a problem. There's some chemical in the socks that makes my skin crawl, although I have washed them several times already. I continue to wear them (I need warm socks), but they're not as comfortable-feeling, perhaps as not as non-toxic, as the Wigwam Huskies, and I will continue to search for a different, less toxic replacement.

Warm, soft and comfortable socks
I bought these wool socks for hiking and they are perfect for that. I was concerned at first by the toe seam but it is soft and doesn't bother me at all. I am hoping they wear well and if they do, I will buy another pair.
