It was an honor to once again beta this book for Ms Carlan! As the ARC became available I did another read through and I caught myself getting lost in the story again! Being drawn into a world that an author creates and being able to feel the characters emotions and passions and anxieties… it’s a sign of a great story to me! This is the genre that I love – contemporary, romance, erotic, and a first for Audrey Carlan, a touch of suspense! The perfect combo in my opinion!I love love love Gillian (Gigi) and her strength and her self-made family!! She had a hard road getting where she is today but I think suffering abuse from the hands of someone that she thought she loved and surviving it has made her into the person she is. I relate to her choosing the ones that she made her family even though they may not be blood. Surround yourself with the ones that will take care of you and let you take care of them! Her past made her want to resist Chase and their mutual instant attraction but lucky for her (and for us, the readers) Chase was relentless in his pursuit!The words that Ms Carlan uses to create Chase have made him so vivid in my mind. The descriptives used for how he smells, sandalwood and citrus, to her nickname of Superman because of his control and take-charge ways, he lives in my Kindle and I have many bookmarked scenes that I can go back and visit anytime I need to. There is also a sweetness, almost a reverence, in the way he loves and protects Gillian that make my heart melt! But lets not forget that this is an erotic read, the heat is off the charts and when I read the erotic scenes between the 2… YOWZA!! Had me clenching and squirming in my seat!! There is no doubt that this is one HOT erotic novel but the story is stellar too with a touch of suspense that you can see will ramp up as book 2 and 3 of the Trinity Trilogy become available. From the first sentence you are thrown into Gigi's world and you want to know what happens. Once she meets Chase at the bar she is goner, she just doesn't know it yet. You are thrown into the life long chase of cat and mouse as Gillian tries to avoid Chase at all cost, until she can't. The sex scenes are smoking hot and will leave you hoping you had a man like Chase in your life. I loved their chemistry and the way they worked together.I wish that it had Chase's POV, because that is something I would have loved to privy of. The story was well written and attention grabbing. I can not wait to read the second book.

It's kind of a happy for now ending because you know there is more conflict coming their way. I wIll say that I enjoyed the story. It kept my interest all the way through. Although sometimes the characters were a little immature. The dialogue was at times was trying. But most of time it was fine. The pet names was kind of cute/funny.There is of course insta love. There were plenty of sexy scenes. Chase is possessive and demanding. He tries to take control of all aspects of Gillian's life. Gillian is a domestic violence. survivor. She is not comfortable with all of Chases's actions. She does try to stand up for herself. I enjoyed both Chase and Gillian along with the supporting characters. I look forward to reading the other books in the series.

Bei dieser Art Lektüre erwartet man jetzt nicht allzu ausgefeilte Charaktere, aber hier wurde nun wirklich sehr gespart. Auch die Handlung selbst ist vorhersehbar und langweilig.

This has got to be the best book i have read this year. This is the first book in the trinity series and I'm already hooked. This book has best friends, ex partners causing problems, a stalker and a jealous possessive alpha male has the Hero and a feisty red headed Heroin. The story has great depth to it that makes it enjoyable to read and I'm now off to read the second one to find out who's stalking Gigi

La trama di questo romanzo prometteva molto bene, ha quel un po' di mistero che attira noi lettori, ma purtroppo sono rimasta delusa dalla storia. Tutto si svolge velocemente e i misteri sono facilmente intuibili, in più vi è presente un argomento molto importante al giorno d'oggi, che non viene ampliato più di tanto. La lettura è scorrevole, la scrittura è semplice e la storia è narrata dal punto di vista di Gillian. Tra i due protagonisti, quella che mi ha lasciato una fievole speranza e voglia di continuare a leggere i successivi romanzi della serie, è proprio Gillian. Una ragazza che è diventata donna in seguito ad una relazione sbagliata con un uomo sbagliato, che l'ha ferita tantissimo e da cui lei tornava sempre. Ma poi è riuscita a capire, grazie anche ad un aiuto esterno, che una relazione si deve basare prima di tutto sull'amore, sulla fiducia e sulla confidenza. Chase invece non mi ha conquistata come mi aspettavo, è un uomo che ha sofferto molto, ha sudato tanto per arrivare ad essere temuto da tutti, ed è venerato dal pubblico femminile e invidiato da quello maschile. Que livro maravilhoso! Audrey Carlan é uma autora maravilhosa. Eu amo todos os livros que eu li até agora, ela é tão doce e uma grande autora. Sua escrita é tão leve e intensa. Eu amo tanto elaGillian é uma mulher forte e forte porque é uma sobrevivente. Ela tinha um relacionamento terrível no passado que obviamente era mentalmente e fisicamente brutal, mas ela veio através do outro lado. Ela se abriu para amar com Chase, mas ela não é ordenada por ele, como ele pensa. Ela é forte e sabe como lidar com ela mesma.Chase ... meu Deus, ele era seu típico homem alfa. Foi bom ver que a relação que eles tinham era intensa, mas tinha uma pureza para ele. Foi ferido romanticamente no passado, mas outra vez, isso moveu dentro dele e encontrou outro que poderia amar.Esses dois personagens se tornaram tão conectados, eu me apaixonei por eles instantaneamente. Eu podia sentir sua intensidade. Certamente a melhor trilogia da Audrey.

I lived this book, it was amazing and kept me enticed the entire time... Love love love the book. Off to read the second one!!!
