Perfect fit!!
I installed this on a 18 forester touring w/eye sight. The front oem rotors warped with 75% pad life left. This is what happens when companies use cvt transmissions. No engine braking to help slow you down. Anyways the stock combo resulted in sometimes embarrassingly noisy braking and a lot of brake dust. Which the dealer said is normal for their brand.I’m a mechanic and I’ve been using akebono pads for over 22 years with no problems. These pads are the exact same dimensions as the oem pads. You may see reviews starting that there’s space at the top and bottom like the pad is too small in the shims. If those reviewers looked at their oem setup it’s the exact same thing. The reason I like these pads is that they stop the same as the oem but have very little to no dust. That makes everyone happy. With every ceramic pad there will be a squeal if the vehicle was sitting overnight or if it rains. This is due to flash rust on the brake rotors. Every rotor will get flash rust as it’s bare metal. The longer it sits the longer it’ll take the flash rust to come off.Back to solving the warping issue due to cvt transmissions and the lack of engine braking. To save the brakes and get slightly better braking I use a full slotted (slot all the way to the edge) or cross drilled/regular slotted rotors and akebono pads.Hope this helps someone. Remember akebono makes oem pads. So they’re quality pads

They will not work for a 2017 subaru inpreza
As you can see two compared the tab on akebono are to narrow including the shims have large gap in slot on caliper housing. This will cause the pad to shift that 1/2 inch suddenly if back up and drive forward and tap brakes will hear thud sound. I feel it's unsafe and replaced them next week, the pads themselves well made and stopped car well besides that issue. They were listed as compatible with 2017 Subaru impreza front brakes and they have to much play and don't trust them not to damage other parts when it shifts suddenly.

Disappointed
Got these brakes based on recommendation as replacement pads for Subaru Genuine which are actually made by Akebono. I assumed the quality would be the same or better but I was so wrong. These pads have terrible brake fade and smell really strong when hot. Never experienced this with the Subaru Genuine pads. For the $5 difference in price, I will definitely be buying the Subaru pads next time.

Overall good brake pad, had to modify the clips slightly for WRX
Used on 2013 WRX, so far they seem to be wearing evenly, have good enough bite, and low dust. I did have to dremel the provided clips to chop off some of the metal near the back as it was rubbing the rotor and making a horrible noise, especially in reverse. It was easy to see the issue and took 2 minutes to cut, but you may want to watch out for this.

Sketchy
The brake pads were scratched slightly and it was clear the box had been opened before. They were sold for $50 instead of $60, but there should have been some information about the condition. Sketch

They look good, great price point for claimed performance. Not installed yet.
I bought these due to recommendations here & on TireRack. Excellent value. Turns out I don't need new pads yet. I checked them over. Packaged well (so they wouldn't clank together & chip), no broken/bent pieces. The internal box didn't handle shipping well due to the weight of the product. Will be storing away for later use with my OEM rotors and will report back then.

Great pads, rotten seller!
Great brake pads but horrible seller. Shipping label was just stuck to the akebono box which arrived torn open and parts literally falling out.

nothing bad to say about them
I installed these on my car last year and my girlfriend's car a couple months ago. No problems, nothing bad to say about them. They work great and are a nice middle of the road brake pad. The dust generated might be a little more than the stock pads but nothing driving in the rain won't take care of.
