Modern Day Infiltrations Done Right
Modern day skirmish miniature wargaming has a lot of obstacles to overcome. Most rulesets abstract too much detail to feel authentic or include too much detail to be playable. These rules focus on small arms combat and asymmetric forces with asymmetric information available, and that focus provides a richly satisfying gameplay not found in most sets of this genre.

Great rulebook for small modern and sci-fi skirmish action.
Excellent rulebook with clear and concise rules. The author quickly responds to any rules questions on their facebook. Enjoyed playing the standard missions and I look forward to playing the stealth missions too.

Cool artwork like you would expect
My copy of Osprey's Black Ops came in today. After a quick thumb-through:64 pages. Cool artwork like you would expect.Standard rules for shooting and hand to hand. Night fighting. Thermals. Indirect fire. Vehicles. Stealth and Suppression. Troops of varying skill level and quality. Reaction tables for civilians and neutrals so they can be "automated".An AK47 has the same stats as an M16 although though they do differentiate for Battle Rifles (M14, FN Fal). The only specific scifi treatment seems to come from two small tables at the rear of the book. One for gadgets like thermoptic camo from Ghost in the Shell. The other is for direct energy weapons. Roughly 11 entries from both lists combined.Looks to have potential! Could have used more scifi elements. Perhaps there will be a supplement.

The Osprey series of shorter game rules continues to delight. In a world where miniature game riles
The Osprey series of shorter game rules continues to delight. In a world where miniature game riles, and RPG rules are generally in excess of $50, a $20 set of rules is a godsend. Black Ops offers the opportunity to play anything from James bond-ish encounters to small-arms teams anywhere one can imagine. I find it also much easier to develop house rules for these shorter games. Very good value in these titles.

Great game!!!
Great game that brings best modern spy/action movies and video games to the tabletop!System is simple enough to pick up quickly, but still has loads of depth to provide lots of interesting choices to be made in-game.

Good game, but there are some formatting issues.
I haven't had a chance to play a game with this. But the rules look very funHowever some of the tables in the Kindle version are ridiculously tiny. They are almost impossible to read on my computer.

Good set of skirmish rules
Arrived well packaged and at a great price. A good set of rules for miniatures gamers who are looking for something away from the fantasy sci-fi games that are out there.Clear and well laid out, pictures of the models offer inspiration and the art is appropriate for the setting.A number of ready made scenarios are in the book, but with these rules it won't be hard for you to work out scenes from movies that you want to recreate. These are rules for skirmish games, no big battalions or expensive models needed, most gamers with modern period minis won't have to spend anything at all.All in all very happy, now where did I leave my flak jacket...

Highly recommended.
I like these rules a great deal. To my mind the writer has clearly spent a long time thinking about the style of games he wants to play with these rules before just bolting anything on. Alot of thought has gone into them and it shows. The stealth rules are very impressive and the main rules for things such as firearms gives plenty of detail and flexibility without going into pages and pages of data. I could nitpick over some aspects hence the four starts and not five, but great value for money and these rules provide an excellent game. Highly recommended.

A great system for playing small raids
A neat little system for handling small battles which can easily be used for almost any setting or historical period. it shines, as one would expect, for covert operations like commando raids, special forces surgical strikes but can easily be used in a pulp setting or for any more unusual thing that can tickle your fancy. If you like playing low model count recreations of raids and covert operations, this is the system for you.
