Great Size, Style And Quality!
I bought the Lifetime 60089 Deck Storage Box, 116 gallon. We are now using this box for a UPS and FedEx Parcel Delivery Box at the main gate, where our road meets at the county road, which is about 1/4 mile away from our home.We have a shared private road with another family. They recently moved here and have decided that they do not want any delivery trucks driving past their home to get to our home any more. Such is rural life when you have control-freaks for neighbors. So, we came-up with this Storage Box for Parcel Delivery as way to still get our packages delivered! We use a longish Bicycle cable and lock to wrap around the sides of the box and locked it to a post. That makes it more difficult for someone to just load the entire box in a vehicle to steal it.We use a combination lock on the box and gave the combo-numbers to the delivery drivers. We decided that it is best to keep this box locked at all times so that the new neighbor's kids won't get in it and suffocate if they can't open the lid on it to get out. This Storage Box looks nice and feels very sturdy. We will see how long it will endure with UPS and FedEx guys though! So far, they are cool with using it and they like that it keeps them from getting yelled at by the new neighbor. This Box was very easy for my husband to assemble. If you can use a ratchet, a wrench, and a screwdriver, then the actual assembly takes about 10 to 15 minutes for a 1 person assembly.I actually liked this box so much that I have ordered another one to use on my deck for outdoor chair cushion storage, and it doubles as a decent sized outdoor table for me too.So far we are super happy with the look and quality and ease of assembly for this Deck Storage Box.UPDATE 09/07/2024:I did get a 2nd box that exactly like this 1st one. I love both. they have been holding up very well for the past 2+ years since I 1st wrote this review.UPS and FedEx love the one up by the main gate.We also have the USPS using it for our packages too, so we don't have to go to our PO Box so often! From other brands I have seen, and a couple of smaller boxes I bought, these Lifetime Brand Boxes are a much better quality.I am so glad I bought both of these Lifetime 60089 Deck 116 gallon Storage Boxes.

Helpful tip to assemble
Great box. Super sturdy Most likely waterproof. It’s pretty tight. I’d give 5 stars but…… some of the holes in the metal brackets are too small for the screws to go through.Solution… I used a drill and put it in the hole in the metal bracket and rotated it like I was stirring something to make the holes a little bigger and then the screws fit fine. Once I figured that out, the rest was easy. I built most of it myself, but needed help when it came time for the lid. Much easier with 2 people. You need someone to hold it in position while you attach it.I sat on it and it seemed pretty sturdyHolds a lot of stuff too. I got it for my patio cushions. I have 2 chaise cushions and about 8 pillows in it and a little room left over. And… it looks really nice on the porch.I would buy it again. If the holes were the right size it would have been assembled in less than an hour including reading directions, assembling tools and unpacking. It took me 2.5 hours since I had to deal with the frustration of the holes being too small Pain in the butt.

High Quality Deck Box from good company
I dont usually write reviews, but I had to write a quick review on this product.I just got done putting together the Lifetime 116 gallon deck box. I am writing because I am super impressed with the quality of the product itself. I just got done returning a deck box from "Plastic development". That product was super easy to put together, but it was cheaply made and the parts didnt fit together properly. (Lid wouldnt close properly). I returned it because of the overall quality and issues. The Lifetime deck box was actually cheaper and MUCH better quality. It was definitely more involved in putting it together...but this is a good thing. Things "snap" in place just fine, but for added stability you actually put screws into the plastic to hold pieces together so they dont come apart. I'm pretty good at this and it took me a good 90 minutes to do. But once it was done it was well worth the added time. Also, they have an online video you can look at for the tricky parts. There were a couple of places I pulled up the video so I could validate I was putting the screws in the right place. (Dont want to be wrong there).Even though I dont know yet that it is waterproof...I have no doubt from how well it is put together that it will be. only thing I could think of is if the lid flew up in a storm. But the hinges will keep it down I would imagine.

Great box, after some assembly struggles...
We mainly purchased this storage box because of the positive reviews and it was the right size to fit in the spot that we wanted to place it. We didn't find it as easy to assemble as many reviewers have said, in fact my husband quickly became frustrated with the lack of pre-drilled holes to assist in sinking the many screws required during assembly. This is sturdy, hard plastic to blindly drive a screw into! True, you can predrill, but his feeling was that it should have arrived with that already done by the company. He dropped out of the process but I continued on through pure stubborn determination and was able to complete the project with just a hand or two from him towards the end while attaching the lid. So if you are a 60 year old woman, yes, you can do it, and without power tools! The nuts and bolts portion were difficult as another reviewer has said; they did not screw on to each other easily -- I found that using a ratchet wrench on the bolt while holding the nut with another wrench easiest for me. The very last piece to be assembled was the gas hinge, and one of them would not snap on, even with a little encouragement from a rubber mallet. Kudos to Lifetime customer service, however -- within minutes he said a replacement hinge was on its way. It arrived after just 3-4 days, and worked perfectly. After all that is said and done, we're very pleased with the box -- it is roomy, seems very sturdy and well built, well worth the initial struggles.
