Arm & Hammer Essentials Natural Deodorant, Fresh - 2.5 oz - 3 pk

Unfortunately, Arm & Hammer discontinued this product but there is still some out there. The three-pack seemed to be the best bang for the buck. This is the best underarm deodorant I've tried in a long time. It works overnight after and evening shower and has a minimal scent, but it is citrus nonetheless. As a substitute you can try A & H juniper or rosemary. I have juniper and will probably continue with it when I run out of citrus (provided, of course, that juniper is still available). Hey Arm & Hammer, how about bringing citrus back?

Ive been trying to switch over to more natural deodorants, and I’ve had mixed luck with them. Some smell weird, some don’t work at all, and some are just overpriced. This one hits a nice balance. The scent is clean and fresh, not like a heavy cologne, just like you took a shower. I like that it doesn’t overpower, so if I wear cologne or body spray, they don’t clash. Application is smooth, no sticky mess, and it doesn’t leave huge white streaks all over dark shirts. It feels lighter than traditional deodorants, but that’s not a bad thing. For me, it holds up throughout the workday, and I don’t feel self-conscious about odor. If I’m doing something really active or sweaty, I might reapply later in the day, but that’s kind of expected with natural deodorants. The 3-pack is perfect because I can toss one in my bag and have extras on hand. For the price, it’s a solid deal compared to fancier brands. If you’re looking for something simple, effective, and not full of chemicals, this one does the trick without breaking the bank.

Fresh scent, easy application, no aluminum so it's safe to use, doesn't leave white residue (it's gel) and the product lasts a long time. I've been using them for many years and have tried similar product. This is by far the best.

Good as a backup to overnight anti-perspirant. Works well enough on smell but will not do anything for sweat itself if that is what you are after. If you truly need all natural or non-aluminum and are not using another anti-perspirant with this I think I personally would consider a different brand. Personally changed back to a day combo anti-perspirant & deodorant as my day option since I felt it did a better job with smell vs this even though I don't need the anti-perspirant part since my night time one works great. So figure those who want natural and/or aluminum free will likely face the same issue. It works ok but could be better.

I dont know how and I don't know why but this DISCONTINUED item that has been nowhere to be found for months (apart from some $20 sticks on ebay) is somehow back on the market. So I am stocking up! Maybe Arm and Hammer got smart and secretly started remaking it (check the orange citrus deodorant reviews on their website- it's been a mini uprising). But I just am OVER THE MOON it's somehow back. Delivered yesterday, can confirm- looks and smells like the OG.

works and isn't stinky

A few years ago, I began to have horrible rashes/itchiness on my upper arms and back and my dermatologist told me to switch deodorant and use only aluminum-free formulas. So I've tried everything I could find - Dr. Hauschka, Tom's of Maine, Wella, Kiss My Face, Jason, etc. - and none of them truly did a good job at deodorizing at all. I found several that were better than others, but they had to be reapplied constantly and wore off completely by the end of the day. I got so self-conscious about it I started wearing sleeves and light-weight hoodies all the time because I was worrying that the deodorant might stop working when I was around other people. So, I didn't expect much from the Arm & Hammer, either- I assumed that if the product had no aluminum, it really wouldn't do much of anything. I was SO wrong. This stuff WORKS- not only does it deodorize (and NOT need to be re-applied) but for some reason, it keeps me dry, as well. The true test was when I went out into the Florida heat/humidity one morning to garden before I showered- even with the massive sweating I did out there, the deodorant *still* worked, the application from the morning before. That surprised me completely. The only thing I will caution is that it CAN be a little bit irritating if applied too thickly or not washed off completely in the shower. I did have a bit of upper arm irritation after the second or third day, but I found that if I really got it off my skin and applied it freshly every day, there's no build up in my pores, so no itching. If you are a looking for an aluminum-free deodorant that works and doesn't irritate skin, this is it. Oh- and "fresh scent"? Pretty heavy scent. I know they sell an "unscented" version of this, but since it's not anti-persperant, I couldn't imagine how it would work as a deodorizer if it didn't have a scent. Now I realize that it *does* have some anti-persperant properties, so next time I'll order the unscented.
