It Works!
Disclaimer: I am in no way sponsored or affiliated with BG Products! I bought this with my own money. We bought my wife’s 2015 Volvo XC60 with a 2.0T engine. Immediately we noticed excessive oil burning due to the known piston ring defect. It burned 1.75 qts. In 1,500 miles. I did some research and watched a few YouTube videos of people showing their success with this product but was still skeptical. With no guarantee of Volvo completing a “goodwill repair” since I just bought the car and didn’t have the maintenance history from the previous owner, I gave EPR a shot. I ran the engine at 1,500 rpm for 20 minutes, and when I drained the oil, it was pitch black. I now run Valvoline Restore and Protect to keep the engine clean and continue to clean the engine. So far the car has been driven 350 miles with no consumption, and the level is at max. Just for reference, the car should’ve burned 12 oz of oil by this point. This product definitely works even though I can’t fully comment on how much the consumption has been reduced in, say, 1k miles, etc. Either way, I’m extremely satisfied and a believer in BG Products.

Just like others have stated, this stuff really does clean!
Used this on my son's new-to-us '97 4 Runner with over 200k on the odometer. I replaced the oil when we first got it and put a few hundred miles on it before I used this stuff. I wanted to make sure there was new oil in the engine, as the previous owner said it was almost due for a change when we bought it. The oil was still like new and had no color yet, so using this stuff would really give me an idea on how well it would do. Boy was I shocked at what came out 20 minutes later!!!I love BG Products and have used 44K for decades in all my vehicles, as well as MOA on a few engines too, but I was still skeptical on how well this would clean. Let me first say that I have never, in all my years of wrenchin' on stuff, smelled such a foul chemical! This stuff just plain stinks! It permeated my shop for 2 days (I won't do this in winter again in my closed shop, that's for sure!)!!!So, in goes the can, I pull the vehicle outside to let it idle for 10 minutes, shut it off and check the dipstick. Yeah, just what I thought, oil still looks clean and clear. Well, time to take it for a little drive through the neighborhood, maybe it just needs to cycle through at a slightly higher rpm.I literally drove it around two loops in my neighborhood, never getting over 2,000rpm, just kind of idling through most of it. I pull back in my shop, shut it down and check the dipstick.WTH?!?!?! Its like dark chocolate now! Okay, let's drain this thing and see what it comes out like. Yep!!! It is BLACK AS NIGHT!!!I noticed too that the area under the oil cap is not gunky or brown any more, its freakin' clean in there!!!I let the runner sit overnight with the oil filter and oil pan drain plug off so everything drips down and out. Screw the plug back in the next day, screw a new oil filter on, drop 5 quarts of Mobil1 in it and go for a 20 minute drive. Its idling really smooth now, and the damned thing feels peppy for a 200k+ vehicle! Yep!!! She's able to break the wheels loose at stop signs now!!! The engine never smoked before, and its not smoking now either, so that's a good sign! Its been about a month since we did this service and the oil is still nice and clean, no lopey idle, runs really smooth, feels like a new engine! I'm sold on this stuff for cleaning up a high-mileage engine! Hell, I may even use a small amount of it on my ride-on lawn mower just to make sure the oil rings aren't gunked up, because I'm pretty sure that's where a lot of the black stuff came from.If you have an old, high mileage engine that you want to give a good cleaning to from the inside, look no further, BG's cleaner will definitely clear out the greasy, varnished gunk in just a few minutes and might even restore a little pep back into your vehicle!

Impressive Results!
I recently used EPR on my daughter’s 2001 Corolla, which was burning through 1 quart of oil every 500 miles. After running two treatments, the oil consumption has improved dramatically to just 1 quart every 3,000 miles!Overall I’m very happy with the results.

very good value and it works
this stuff does what it says - i had a good amount of sludge on my 2013 Honda Pilot and this cleaned up most of it. Dip stick is now silver instead of brown and i see a lot less sludge through the oil cap hole. Left is my oil after 5000 miles before cleaning, right is after running the BG EPR for 20 mins

Seems good
It was easy enough to use. I can’t really tell a difference; truck seems to run a little cooler but, the normal semi transparent dark oil I usually get during oil changes was definitely a lot darker and dirtier so maybe it cleaned it out a little better than normal

Holy moly, this product actually works! Oil consumption fixed - Power restored!!
My 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Limited has had an oil consumption issue and lifter tick since I bought it used with 83K miles. It has 216K miles now and I have to add about a quart of oil every 600 miles. Previously, thinking it was an oil leak, I tried ATP 205 twice, to no effect. I used an engine sludge product called Auto-RX twice when I bought but it didn't help with the oil consumption. I tried Restore Engine Restorer which helped with improving compression, but it didn't fix the oil consumption. I always used synthetic oil - Pennzoil Platinum or Mobil 1 but later I switched to hi mileage synthetic blend and that didn't help. At 215K miles the engine performance was very sluggish and the engine struggled going up hill. I got the engine hot, then did an BG EPR flush cycle for 20 mins. I added a can of Engine Restorer and filled with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. Immediately the loud engine lifter tick disappeared. There used to be a slight puff of dark smoke on first start (not the valve stem seals, I replaced those) and that disappeared too. The engine is running amazing. It always idled smoothly, but now it's so quiet I can't tell if it's on. Performance is completely restored to new. It's been 800 miles since I did the service, and the oil level is exactly where I filled it. I highly recommend BG EPR! I think it cleaned out my stuck piston rings.
