The best mackerel in BBQ sauce
I buy these for my boyfriend. He loves them as you can’t get them anywhere as they seem to have sold out at ASDA and other supermarkets.

A tasty mackerel fillet.
A very tasty mackerel fillet, in basically a tomato sauce, but with a smoky bbq flavour. They come in an easy peel back lidded can.The fish is caught in the Northeast Atlantic.Nutritionally the fish is great. The rest, not so much. The can is 12% sugar, which is far too high and unnecessary.Salt is 1%. Again, to me, unnecessarily high. I'm sure John West could halve both without the majority of people noticing any difference. However, saying all that, these are a tasty fish fillet, and consuming oily fish such as mackerel, is unquestionably good for you.The sauce is bbq'y, without being overpowering. The fish is boneless and skinless.Overall, as an occasional salad treat, these are a tasty addition to the larder.I hope you found this review helpful.

Ew
Too much sauce, overpowers the mackerel. Stick to the olive oil only
