Imported Small Meerschaum Pipe - APPLE PANEL

I ordered mine through the Royalmeerschaumpipes website directly. Smoked well for about 4 months, then it shattered on me when I tried to remove the stem to clean it. I recommend to fiddle with the stem early on to break it in so it removes easier -- or never remove it and just use the bristles to clean it out. It's short enough. I give it 5 stars because smoking it was almost a mystical experience. As a health minded person who regularly works out, the 15 minute smoke was perfect for my lifestyle. After the initial break-in (about 20 bowls) she smoked perfectly. Better than my briar. I have no experience with the carved meerschaum, but this was worth every penny if you are careful. Dottle falls right out after smoking, so you don't have to worry about being aggressive with the tamper/scooper. I used my finger to press down the tobacco after lighting it and that's all it took. I carefully rubbed the inside with my pinky to clear it out afterwards.

The stem is not brown, it's black. Other than that it's a pretty good little pipe.

These are made from compressed powdered meerschaum, not solid block. They shatter on use. Don't buy, this is a rip off

Very nice pipe, just about the working man size old England. The workmanship is good and it is a very nice matarial.
