This is a good beginner diffuser if your new to EO's. This helped to diffuse Eo's when my kids and I were sick and we needed something to open our sinuses. Since then I've been using EO's more and found an ultrasonic diffuser dispenses the Eo's quicker and throughout the room more. Especially larger rooms.

I read through a lot of the ratings before I ordered this. I was a little confused how some people said it diffused the oils nicely, some said it was too strong, and some said they couldn't even smell the oils with their nose right up to it. I was really hoping we'd be ones this worked for.Our results:My husband and I smell it easily. The smell is diffused throughout our open concept downstairs 1st and 2nd living room, dining room, kitchen, and I an even smell it half way down the hallway towards the bedrooms. My youngest two children enjoy the smells but don't seem to notice it as easily as my husband and I.My 18y/o daughter, can't smell a thing until she shoves her nose right over top of the diffuser. I found this so odd, that the whole family smells it (though my nose seems to pick scents furthest from the diffuser). Another thing I noticed with her, is if I smell straight from the essential oil bottle, the smell is overpowering to me, but when she does she's not overpowered by the direct smells of them at all. It looks like it's not a "diffuser problem" but more along the sense of smell for the individual.For me:It's a great device. It diffuses the oils well, and almost immediately for four-out-of-five of us.Easy to clean. After you place your drops on the small tin plate that comes with it, it's very shallow and can slosh easily however, I did read in another review that someone put her drops in an empty tea-light-candle tin, and sets that on top of the disk provided it stopped the sloshing.Edited to add:In addition to the above observations, I have noticed that different oils and blends diffuser at different rates. Some needing more oil to be added, and there are some oils/blends that will last a full day with just 10 drops. I use the same brand of quality oil, so it's not a difference in brands or quality, but a seemingly difference in type of plant oil(s) or "flavor" being used.

This is the first diffuser I've found that actually sends aroma into the air. It's easy and effortless. I may wish it came with spare plates so 'flavors' could be changed without having to clean the plates. My 'flavors' are oils and not so easy to clean. No big deal though.

I love more natural scents that are loaded with chemicals and this is a great way to make a room smell great. There are many different oils you can add to this diffuser, so you can have many scents. It works great for its price and I have enjoyed it immensely. It doesn't work well in bigger house, because it won't make the whole house smell, but it does make a room smell great and if the house is smaller it will feel the whole house with its scent.

I have tried many of these gadgets: ultrasonic, electric heaters, and candles. None of them worked reliably except for the candle and the candle was a pain in the neck to clean and who wants to sleep or leave your home with a small fire burning? The ultrasonic devices with fans worked okay but they were noisy. This device is unobtrusive, silent, able to fill our entire living room with scent and the room measures 25' x 19' with 20' ceilings! It works. Is it perfect, no but for the price and the fact that it works and is easy to clean... I am going to buy a couple more.

I love this diffuser. It's easy to use, affordable and very quiet when it's running. I typically use lavender in it at nighttime to try and help me relax.

It works, but I thought it would keep the oil in the base and just "warm" it for a long period of time. It seemed to heat up and burn the oil out and left you with more of a burnt smell of oil, rather than the aroma that oil is.

I have enjoyed having this in my room. Size is great. Completely quite, no mess, no up keep. Overall a great item.
