Great Price
I Needed two reels for 100 yd. of 18 lbs. lead core line for trolling. My thirty year old Penn had seen their day. So far I have used them for Rainbows three or for times. Water has cooled down so I have only been using three or four colors. The only item I would say is the spool tension adjustment is a little heavy for 18# line using small lures. I use 5.5 trolling blades with small lures. I have to pull the line off to spool at times when trolling slow. But for my use I do not need a hundred dollar plus reel. So far it has worked great.

Great catfishing reels!
They cast great and handle big fish just as good as an Abu, I run guides on the Yadkin river and use these reel’s several times a week all year long. I’ve had them for 3+ years and absolutely no issues! So if you’re considering purchasing these it’s a no brainer for me and fit the budget well!

You have to lock back the release manually. Freshwater
I own the big brother, but this is the CLX 200LA. If you're looking for a smaller baitcaster they the 300 model and up also to something dependable and not break your bank, then this would be perfect for you. Unlike the 300 the difference is you have to set the release switch yourself to lock once you've unlocked. I also took a picture with the braided line I used for those who like braid. The reel holds up to 210yrds at 20lb but if you buy 300M at 0.20 braid the reel will hold the whole spoll almost at max capacity and it also has a metal reel seat. I have medium sized hands for a man and as you see in the picture, if it's my hand perfectly. I'm using it on my 7ft MD rod. The reel is lightweight and I'm sure it'll do its job for the catfishing I do. I mostly fish channel cat and sometimes I get lucky to cash those cats at 20lb like blue cat or flathead. The 300 model takes a beating It can handle mud pretty well. I'm hoping this model will do the same. And before I forget The handle is a little loose but that's just the way this old model from Okuma is. Great for beginners as well who never used a round conventional baitcaster.

Okuma Way More than OK!
I Fish for big cats on the Sac and Osage River! Only two types of reels I can count on for my type of river fishing. The Okuma’s are my number one go too for getting it done. Not had one to fail me yet, but I’ve had them in many different situations they probably should’ve. Reliable EAsy to Operate Affordable and with the built in bait tracker. They always ready for the next Fish On! If I had to choose I’d choose Okuma! Then let the worry free fishing begin!’

Good enough for an 8 foot 200 pound shark!
I usually use this reel for blue catfish in freshwater and grouper in salt. Ended up hooking into this 8' nurse shark in Florida and it handled it well with 30lb test. The drag was smooth and we were able to work this fish up to the boat for a release.

Nice Reel
This reel has had a relatively short life with me so far (a little over a month), but it has caught a bunch of fish. I bought it to catch catfish, but have also been using it to troll for Rockfish. It's reeled in two 20 lb cats and I don't know how many 5+ lb Rockfish. We'll see how it stands up to saltwater, but so far it was a good purchase.
