Here is the ingredient list: Soybean oil, brill fish, garlic, ginger, shallots, sesame, coconut powder, dried shrimp, chili powder, salt, pepper. A serving of 2 tablespoons contains 2 g of carbohydrates, probably from the coconut powder.

The shelf life of this product is 12 months from the date manufactured. Yes, please put in refrigerate after open, always stir before use.

Can I substitute a barbecue sauce with some fish sauce, till I get some how can I substitute?

In order to make good authentic Chinese BBQ ribs, this item is a must. It adds that "Umami" (base 'secret' ingredient) associated with good ribs. Regular BBQ sauce is too sweet/vinegary and fish sauce is too salty. Hard to say what it can be substituted with. I'd leave them out.. You'll 'see' when you get it.
