Warman's Jewelry (3rd Edition) Paperback – December 1, 2002

I have attended seminars given by this author and she WENT to extremes to be accurate in her knowledge. If you only own one book on jewelry THIS IS THE ONE you should have. Christie Romero died a few years ago and this is the last of these Warman books she wrote. Later editions are not as complete. It is an excellent informational book on historic jewelry periods with great examples in full color. ONCE YOU HAVE IDENTIFIED YOUR JEWELRY ITEM BY STYLE AND TIME PERIOD THERE ARE OTHER SOURCES AVAILABLE TO DETERMINE VALUE.

This book provides a wealth of detailed examples of all types of jewelry spanning a vast time-frame. The images and illustrations are high quality and accurately matched to the content on the page. The book is well organized and is extremely easy to use when researching jewelry pieces. I have found Warman edition books to be well above standards for the majority of books produced for collecting vintage items.

Excellent book with general overview and examples with approximate dates. Now I wish there was an even more in-depth version that show backs of brooches & more examples. Overall, a good reference.

Great resource. I don't know why I waited so long to buy it! My daughter and I run a little online vintage jewelry shop as a sideline, a real labor of love. We drooled over the pictures in this book and are pleased to have it as a reference guide. No matter how much we learn about jewelry there is always so much more to investigate.

Excellent condition and good price

It is an interesting book, but I am not sure it would take a mere bookto learn or cover what I am searching. So I continue to add to myknowledge, of which, is slow in this area.

I wasn't that impressed with this book it did not really tell me what I wanted to know. Oh well.

This book has excellent photos. I could not find the jewelry I own in it. The photos and descriptions are detailed enough to identify future jewelry pieces I may come across or to be on the look out for.

This book is wonderfully illustrated and detailed. While the prices are out of date, I still have a good sense of which jewelry pieces and lines are collectible - and valuable.
