Don't use alcohol as assembly lubricant - use mild soapy water!
Although the product arrived intact and as advertised, the assembly instructions included the recommendation of using rubbing alcohol as a lubricant for item assembly. Unfortunately, the alcohol caused lines of discoloration to form where the blue protective film met the plexiglass, as it was assembled beforehand with the blue protective film left in place other than pulled back on the edge inserted into the flexible trim. Instead of alcohol I suggest mildly soapy water for replacement in the instructions provided with the parts.

Looks and works as advertised
It took me awhile to figure out the assembly (brain doesn’t work as it used to). Once I got it together, I found that it is well made and somewhat “adjustable” , in the sense that the pass through space can be made to be any size less than 6”. Just by placing the moving the main plexiglass sheet lower.Was shipped relatively quickly and arrived in great condition.

Very difficult to assemble
The product comes packaged with a large center panel, two "wing" panels and two hinge strips. They're clear and good quality plexiglass, but boy, it was soooo difficult to assemble (and I'm an IKEA fan who has put together pretty big size desks and book shelves). The hinge strips are super-tight and don't accomodate the panels so easily. They don't slide in vertically, so I had to line them up horizontally on a raiser and bang pretty hard with a rubber mallet to get them in, even with soapy water to lubricate. I had to watch that they don't crack the beautiful plexiglass. It took some major effort (and very scary because the edges and corners are sharp), taking close to an hour to assemble. Once assembled it was pretty sturdy, looked nice and one can adjust the side panels to a desired angle (but without any slot at the bottom). But I really wish it would have been shipped assembled.

Highly recommend
Very pleased with shield. Works and looks as described. Only slight problem is it says width is 30 inches but when you put it together with the corner joints it measures 31 inches so it didn’t fit our narrow area as planned. We cut it down a bit and now it’s perfect. Delivery time was excellent. Received just a day after ordering! Would definitely use this company again.

Sturdy--But very aggravating assembly !
We (naively?) assumed that IF there were written instructions (that appear well-done and w/photos!) we didn't need to add extra time watching a video. NOT SO! WATCH THE VIDEO--it shows the best way to attach the hinge--still it's difficult and aggravating! I feel buyers really need to know BYPASS THE PAPER INSTRUCTIONS AND *WATCH* THE VIDEO! OTHERWISE>> Even after soapy water and reading the instructions, be prepared to lose any religion you might have trying to put it together. After an hour +, two qualified men nearly lost theirs. Sliding on a "living hinge" ...how hard could it be? Be prepared. :(

Perfect Fit
We like everything about this counter shield. Height, width and flexibility in being able to move the sides a little bit to better fit our space. For us the sides are the perfect depth too. Deep enough to discourage customers from coming around the side and leaning onto our counter but allows our service technicians to stand next to our service writer to discuss repair orders. We ordered the size that has a 6 inch space on the bottom so we can still easily handle invoices and credit cards. Good quality. Assembly wasn't too bad. You definitely need to use some muscle, but not too much. There is a link in the instructions to a YouTube video which didn't work for us so we just searched YouTube for the name of the shield and found one. Video is better than the written instructions for sure. 100% recommend this product.

Good product, not easy to put together
It's a pretty solid product, good solid plexiglass panels. My problem with this is that assembly is awful. The hinges are very difficult to install. They have a video, but expect to need a rubber mallet (not disclosed before purchase). So Include that purchase in your overall price. It seems like the company could easily and more efficiently assemble these before shipping.

Awesome Product
Excellent! It's a little hard to tell from the images but these shields are perfect for compliance with the CT state-mandated retail opening requirements. A little difficult to assemble but worth the effort.
