My Daddy the Pedophile: A Memoir

Great read! I finished it in 2 days! Very sad and heartbreaking story, but amazing that the author was able to be strong and overcome her past.

Well written, interesting story, worth the read!

I read this book in one sitting. It broke my heart to read about this family’s cycle of abuse. I’m amazed by the author’s resilience and ability to stop the cycle within her own family.

Tells it just like it is living with a pedophile!

This book was weird. I mean you understand the subject matter from the name and I get that it is a memoir and really a form of healing for her to tell her story.Her Dad was sick, he messed with her mind and emotions and she is sick too, from the trauma.It is amazing what humans will do to each other. Do not read if you have a weak stomach.A quote from the book, " It felt like my dad was not only my best friend, but also my Prince Charming, the man I'd been searching for my whole life. I felt myself falling."

You’re so brave to tell your story Lily, thank you for putting this out here in hopes to help someone else heal, I’m sorry for everything that happened to you but God bless you for being so strong and stopping the cycle of abuse

After reading a couple of negative reviews for this book I wondered if I'd like it. I definitely do!!! Her descriptive writing style is simple with great insight and even humor. I relate to her story. I did not find it titillating in any way as one reviewer suggested.This book took courage to write and publish. Thankfully, some people really do care about survivors.

Could not put this book down!!! Sensational Brave Strong Powerful! Extremely thought provoking & encouraging to pursue the journey of healing. Your book is doing exactly what intended.

I unbelievable what has happened too these children, very hard to read, but very great writing. I can’t relate to this book at all, and it make me sick to think this stuff actually happened to children, truly heartbreaking.

It was a ok book not the greatest. As I mom I was quite angry at times and couldn't continue reading for a bit but for a short book I fight it would be a fast read nope took 3 weeks to get threw it

Being a survivor myself and still on the path to healing, this book helped me.I was a bit worried to start with as I thought it may be triggering and there are many upsetting things in this memoir, but I was able to read it all in one sitting.For someone in my stage of healing, I found the book really helpful. It gave me hope, it showed me that there is a way out of the pain and of the many other emotions, that there is a life after. It may take some time, but it is possible.Thank you Lilly for your courage and for sharing your experience so openly.

I thought I’d read a couple of chapters before I went to sleep but ended up reading the whole book in one sitting. It’s horrible knowing that things like that happens to children. I’ve read a few of these style books but this is the only one I’ve come across that tells you of the long but successful healing process that follows a childhood like Lily’s. It gives hope to others that have unfortunately had the same experiences that it is possible to heal.
