Fw190A-8 "Red 8" IV./JG 3, Uffz. Willi Maximowitz, 06. 1944 Airplane Model Building Kit

Great detail, but scheme is not historically accurate.
Great detail for the price and easily better than I could have done modeling. Landing gear are fixed/glued in place so there is no option for an in-flight pose, but the stand is nice and sturdy, unlike the various Unimax/Forces of Valor aircraft. This is a full plastic model. Another advantage over the forces of valor kits is that there is no mix issues with the metal and plastic parts....This is no different than a nice 1/72 model kit you might build up yourself. It only lacks for some cockpit detail/pilot. There's a few glue marks here and there, but not very noticeable. No paint issues in terms of bad application or anything.Unfortunately this is not an ace's aircraft. The nose/exhaust is incorrectly painted with blackgreen (rlm70) instead of pure black, and Wili Maximowitz never flew a 'Red 8'. Correct paint scheme for this aircraft would be a black nose/exhaust, and a 'Black 8'. Could be resolved with a decal kit and some paint however, but it's close enough.

Nice Detail and Delicate
This is a decent model for the price (made in China, of course). It needs to go immedialty on the stand, the stand being the worst part of this "easy model". If you let your 10 year old play with it, you will be missing the anteneas, wheels and gun barrels before you know it. Heavy sigh.

Great model
Amazing amounts of detail in such a small model.FW 190s are my favorite planes in IL 2, now I can have one on my desk.Good for people who want a desktop display model but lack to equipment to properly paint and assemble them.
