I bought this to replace the much more expensive prescription back brace that I was told to wear daily for an extremely painful herniated disc. While it lacks the added lower back extension of the prescription belt, it does have a type of rigid boning sewn in that has resisted warping far better than the plastic support insert of the other belt.This belt is sufficiently wide to provide enough support over the lower back and (too large at the moment) tummy area to make life bearable as I continue to work until a lumbar spine fusion surgery. The quick adjustments possible with the two wide elastic bands that are on the sides of the main belt make it possible to adjust the main part of the belt for a lighter continuous support that doesn't hurt while seated and then to quickly use the hook and loop strip to reposition the outer bands for tighter support upon standing. I have found as a woman that I can wear this over the waist area of pants and then have an untucked top over it thst allows me to quickly make adjustments just as I enter or exit my car or office.I liked this belt design so much after wearing it for a few weeks that I ordered a second one. It will ensure that I can leave one in my car to avoid repeating that horrible realization halfway to the office that I have left my best pain reliever draped over a chair at home. It will also ensure that I can hand wash one belt and leave it to drip dry while having a spare belt to wear to work.

6’0” 215lbs. Bought the L/XL size. Fit perfectly. Very nice brace. Wide enough to stay rigidly formed and in place. Very light, yet quite supportive. Able to wear all day and while working out. Highly recommend!

Good support if you are standing a lot. Uncomfortable to wear while sitting. It does ease chronic back pain and the fit will be uncomfortable if you bend over at the waist, so it reminds you to use correct body mechanics.

I got this to help with a herniated disc. Wear it mostly when driving as extra protection for the back, but also if I need to lift or move heavier things around the house. It’s so comfortable very adjustable and I can still breathe while wearing it. Nothing digs into the body you can wear it under a shirt, but it does add a little bulk. Not a fashion statement, but a very excellent help for back pain and support. Saw this product initially recommended from a Bob and Brad YouTube video.

For the issue I'm having with my back, this back brace works very well. When I put on this brace and tighten it comfortably, I'm able to do nearly all the things I used to do before my back started having debilitating issues. The ability to tighten the brace more, or loosen it as needed, are very helpful, and allow me to easily adjust it based on what kind of day I'm having (good back day? looser. bad back day? tighter!). To explain my particular case a little : my lower back muscles, particularly on the right side just above the pelvic bone, are constantly tense in an effort to maintain the lumbar curvature and allow good upper torso support. Sometimes, when the muscles become too fatigued, they'll fail and my back will go out and I'll be stuck on the floor for several hours before I can get up again. The muscles are constantly sore. When I put the brace on, the soreness either goes away completely, or is greatly reduced. While the product itself is beginning to come apart (not threadbare or velcro, just the rubber/glue holding the boning in place), I think it's lasted very well for it's low price and how much it's been used - I've been wearing it every day for several months, typically 10 to 16 hours a day. Stays in place well, even during long walks. Four stars in that only a few things could be made better - I wish the material was a bit thicker, and I wish the attachment system had a belt in addition to velcro so that I wouldn't have to undo the tightening straps every time I take it off (which is several times a day because of the amount of water I drink).
