Bush Furniture Cabot 6 Cube Organizer in Harvest Cherry

I spent hours and hours looking for office furniture that looked good, would be hopefully durable, easy to assemble, and fit my space requirements. Unfortunately, some of these are hard to determine without having hands on - something that just isn't an option for these bigger items. In any case, I bought this with a matching set that included this, a file cabinet, a smaller box type shelf, and a full L shaped desk with hutch. This fit in perfectly with the set and looked great once assembled. Overall, the product was fairly easy to assemble and came well packed. The wood is a standard particle board for most pieces. All you need for assembly on all of these different furniture pieces is a philips screwdriver and a hammer. I would recommend also having a partner to help assemble as some of the pieces can be a bit big.This cabinet was super fast assembly and decent enough durability. The height of this is good and it can fit a decent amount of stuff. The boxes are a standard size as well if you want to add in the fabric boxes. The build is easy with one person and the finished product is light enough to move around without much difficulty.Overall, the quality is better than the light IKEA type of furniture, but less than a high quality solid wood build. I would recommend it and haven't had any problems with it after using it day in and out for several months.

I got this bookshelf to go with the matching desk/hutch/lateral file for my office. As with the other pieces, it's handsome and sturdy. The one big flaw in all of this furniture is its veneer, which is paper thin. I didn't have any veneer-tearing issues assembling this piece, but one of the holes for one of the wooden dowels was drilled slightly off-center and i had to disassemble enough of the case to get it out... then everything fit just fine! The cubbies in here are 14"w x 14"h x 11"d, so you can put cloth baskets in some of them to hold stuff, in lieu of drawers or a cabinet. I might buy a second bookshelf for that very reason. I work at home and have a ton of reference books, so the desk/hutch/bookshelf combo is a useful arrangement of space (and everything matches!).UPDATE:I bought a second one. This has turned out to be the easiest, most practical way to organize an office EVER. It's easy to toss something quickly into the right cubby, it's easy to see where things are, they're big enough to fit a variety of things from books to baskets... I'll never store stuff in drawers again!

Pretty easy to assemble, all you need is a Phillips head screw driver and a hammer. It is very sturdy and have no concerns about moving it as needed. It also looks like a high end piece of furniture. It fits in well with my wood living room furniture, you can't tell it's particle board. I would recommend buying this and would purchase again.My criticism relates to the backing. It does not cover the complete surface area of the back of the unit, so you're left to center it yourself. This resulted in one of the nails not being affixed to the shelving and it came through the front surface of the backing (see attached pic). Thankfully I will have this area covered with books.With that said about the backing, you need to have the unit very close to the wall or there is the potential to see exposed particle board (the back of the unit is not expresso since the backing is supposed to cover it).Also, the nails for the backing are cheap and I broke two.

I use this to store my beads and crafting books. The beads can be very heavy, and this shelf unit has held up well for over 2 years with no sagging. The finish is holding up well. My only complaint is that the back is made of a cheap cardboard, but it is still functional. I would definitely recommend this unit if you have heavier items. The center brace works well to support the load. Other book case units I tried could not support the load.

Beautiful furniture - everyone gushes over how nice it looks. No one would believe it arrived as 5,000 pieces in a box (slight exaggeration). I bought three of the 2-drawer lateral files, two cube bookcases and the L-shaped desk. I put the bookcases on top of two of the lateral files and it looks fantastic (fastened the book cases to the wall). Has really transformed my home office into a beautiful space.Back to the 5,000 pieces - there were A LOT of pieces to put together. It was a bit daunting considering I ordered six pieces of furniture. The instructions are very good - just take your time and read carefully. The beginning of the instruction book says two people is recommended for the assembly. No way - two people are a must - there is no way one person could do this without a great amount of frustration. What I did was to do all of the prep work myself then called in my father to help hold pieces together while I completed the assembly.I highly recommend this furniture.

The color was on point and the cubes were fun to decorate. I opted not to use the backing since I wanted something more "airy". It not as stable because the unit was designed with the backing to maintain the stability. I'm okay with it because I have no fear on anyone climbing it.

We love the 2 x 3 cube design and the look of these shelves. They were also easy to assemble and came to us free of any dents or scratches. However, the wall mounting system works terribly and is easy to bend and possibly break. Instead of having a firm connection to the wall, it instead has you attach a mount to the wall, a mount to the shelves and zip tie them together. It's impossible to get a tight hold as the mounts bend easily. The shelves really are great, but if you want this attached securely you'll need to come up with your own solution.
