Noble Jerky - Vegan, Vegetarian, Plant Based Snacks, 70 Gram Bags, (3 Bags) (Hickory)

This has a very sweet flavor. I have read the ingredient list multiple times trying to figure out why it is so sweet. Is it hidden in "spices"? It isn't horrible. The texture is good, tender. The flavor isn't bad either, I just wasn't expecting it to be SWEET. I am willing to try other flavors. My husband said it has a distinct soy flavor, but I would not tell.

Okay, so let me start out by saying the overuse of the word "addicted" irritates me. But I can't seem to shake the urge to constantly eat this stuff. I think about it on the way home. Get up in the middle of the night and bumble around the cabinet. I just can't get enough. Mind you, I've been a vegetarian for 25 years and maybe I don't remember what actual jerkey is like, but this does it for me. Even my meat and potatoes eating dad and husband tried it and said it was "actually not bad". (Huge compliment. Huge.) I have tried a few other brands but this one, to me, is the best of the best. I like the hickory. I like the teriyaki. I like the bbq. It's a little sticky and sweet but it's great. I don't get all the negative reviews but then again, everyone has different tastebuds and expectations. This is a vegan jerky, after all. I really would hate to see how much I spend on this a month but it is worth it. It's the only thing I ever get myself and I like it, dang it! And now I want some, so here I go again!!!

This stuff was really tasty and had great texture. It is definitely pricy, but it’s worth it.

Taste wonderful and I’m not even a vegetarian let alone a vegan but these have the texture of jerky you have to chew on a bit. Teriyaki flavor is delicious. Wish the lasted more than 3 days after being opened because I can’t eat that much. Would buy over and over though

I bought the BBQ flavor because some of the reviews described it as “spicy”, which sounded great. These must be the same type of people that think bell peppers are spicy. The BBQ flavor is not spicy. Not at all. It is a TINY bit peppery, from black pepper, I assume. It is completely my fault for letting a few reviewers convince me that “sweet BBQ” would be spicy.Here’s what the BBQ flavor DOES taste like, however: BBQ baked beans, but in a good way. Sweet and Smokey.Also, The texture is spot on! And like one reviewer said, sticky. I like it.

Update - November 2019Purchased these (the chipotle flavor) again as they had been unavailable for the last few months on Amazon. The quality and flavor are noticeably different and really bad from the last time I purchased it and left the review below. First, the package now has a sticker that says "Product of Taiwan" which makes me think they maybe recently started outsourcing their product manufacturing. The flavor is lacking and so is the texture. It just tastes like a bunch of chili powder, with no lovely balanced flavor that they used to have. It was an overwhelming disappointment. Please go back to your old manufacturing process, the $2 cheaper price was not worth it to me for this poor quality product! Maybe it was just a bad batch that I received, but sincerely hope they can figure it out as their product was quite good before. I would no longer recommend this product to others and would only give it one star.Old Review--Tried this on a whim, and glad I did! Each pack is two generous sized servings and the nutritional value is not too bad, or at least not worse than other processed savory snacks. I would say it is relatively low calories, but I would be mindful of the salt if that is a health concern for you. The vegan jerky was very flavorful and had a great balance of sweet with a nice kick. Nothing too spicy, but just enough to make you want to eat the whole pack. I have never eaten beef jerky before, so can't assess how close it is to the real thing for nostalgic former meat eaters, but I think it does a fair job of holding its own. Shipping and packaging were superb and found that buying this three pack was the cheapest option.I would definitely buy again and recommend to friends!

That was my immediate first impression, Panda Express, which is not a good first impression IMHO. If you like that then you might like this but I am seriously regretting buying a 3 pack :( I will probably give away my 2 unopened ones. Bleh, not nearly anywhere even remotely close as good as Beyond Jerky. I'm on a quest for a Beyond Jerky replacement if anyone has any suggestions, this is definitely NOT it. 3 stars only for texture and survival food ability purely, and I guess there's worse. One more thing, why is it so slimy and wet? You know the concept of jerky is DRIED meat right?

I like all the flavors of Noble Jerky but this is my favorite. Sweet BBQ is so flavorful. I was given a variety pack for Christmas and had to order more. I’m hooked. One of the best vegan snacks I’ve found. I used to love beef jerky and this definitely matches up in taste and texture.

OMG. This jerky is amazing! The other flavours I tried (Teriyaki and original were edible, but a little funny tasting to me with too much seasong), but the BBQ is delicous. Some spice to them, but not overhwelming, coming from someone who is fairly sensitive to spice. Other reviewers mentioned them being sticky, but I am able to snack on them while at my computer without feeling like I need to wash my hands in between. If you like BBQ sauce you will like these jerky treats. A little pricey, but understandable for a vegan product. Keep in mind that regular jerky is also expensive. These could pass for real beef.

Being vegan sometimes I miss eating beef jerky, but these are SO good that when I have friends try it they always think it's actually beef it tastes so similar. They are a great snack and don't make me miss meat at all. Highly recommended as they are much cheaper here than at Marshall's (the only other place I've seen them in store).

It was way too spicy for me but my brother ate it and liked the flavour. We both hated the texture
