Gurren Lagann Art Works: Crimson Lotus / Spiral Stone

I'm so glad that I can finally hold this artbook in my hands and look at the amazing artworks of one of my favourite series ever.This book has a great quality, with thick, big pages that show the art in full glory. The artwork itself can be described as epic, and gives attention to all characters, background characters included. There's action artworks, but also hilarious nice scenes that I have never seen before that just ask for stories to be written about them! I'll leave that to the fanfiction writers :-)The illustration index in the back gives you all the information you need on the many artists who drew the artworks, because that's quite a lot! This is also seen in the different styles of the artworks, it just never gets boring.Highly recommendable if you're a fan of this series and love art, as well as for artists who want to study these works in more detail!

This a Gurren Lagann art book. This book contains pictures from the anime. There are alot of pictures like two pages of characters posing with their iconic weapons, mecha machines fighting on land and in space. Some pages of a progression of how the character grow within the anime. Some group pictures look awesome and the art is outstanding. Overall I highly recommend this art book to any Gurren lagann fan it is definitely worth it.

Gurren Lagann is one of my favourite anime and it's also one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen, in a good way.Gurren Lagann Art Works is the illustration art book for the anime. The original book is actually 天元突破グレンラガン画集 紅蓮螺巌 which is in Japanese and this is the English edition translated by Udon.This is a marvelous art book. The artworks are beautiful and exciting. There's a good sense of dynamism, which is not unlike what you see from the anime. There are many huge full page and double page illustrations.It features mainly the characters with some coverage for the many mechas. The character poses are great, composition is wonderful, the art looks epic and feels epic.I love Yoko and she looks good in all the artworks. She's not the main character though, the characters are pretty well mixed for the variety.The artworks are created by several artists. Many pieces are in anime style, and some with more traditional medium looking style. There aren't any screenshots.Fantastic book. Highly recommended to all Gurren Lagann and anime art fans.
