The looper I didn't know I needed!
Really glad I got this. Make switching tones, looping and tuning available hand free during a show.

Works with the GT line of amps
I could only find one person who actually said they had this GTX-7 working with the Mustang GT line and it was in an Amazon review here. I have the GT 100 and figured the 7 button would be better so I gave it a shot and it works. To get it to work you need to update the amp to the newest firmware first. The GTX-7 will show up in the footswitch menu on the amp after updating. When you do connect it the first time, there's a good chance the amp is going to run it in the MGT-4 mode which is the four button footswitch. The mode, bank up and FX5 buttons won't work in this mode. If you unplug the the pedal with the amp still on and plug it back in it should switch to the GTX-7 mode. It seems to start in GTX-7 mode after power cycling now. There is no owners manual. The instructions for the GTX-7 are in the manual for the GTX line of amps.It seems like a pretty good pedal for what I need it for at the moment. Between modeling on the amp and the footswitch controls you get a simple and streamlined workstation for experimentation. You don't need to know what you're doing to get it all going, and with this setup, everyone will hear that you don't know what you're doing.

Does not work
None of the buttons work you can’t change mode you can’t change banks the 5th button is always engaged. This is a useless little box with a couple of pretty red lights so if you are just for a box that does nothing but shines a little red light you have it here

Nice improvement over the 4 switch model. Functional Layout. Works with GT amps, but mine wobbles
Although this foot switch was released with the Mustang GTX line, I specifically bought this for use with my GT40 and happy to say it works well. Just make sure you are on the latest firmware (3.0.31 as of this writing). The first time I plugged it in, the mode button wasn't playing nice, but after an amp power cycle it was working perfectly. Nice upgrade over the 4 button model. This foot switch gives you five dedicated fx switches to control presets (including setlists), effects and looper functionality. The dedicated bank up/down switch is the top left switch and works fairly well for navigation. The dedicated mode cycling/tuner switch it towards the top right. The build and switches are overall solid however the base on my pedal is a little off square so I get a slight wobble (like an annoying restaurant table wobble) when accessing the switches towards the right. I shimmed it with a trimmed down furniture slider that I had laying around and it seems to level it off well enough for me to keep it and not request a replacement. Stepping on the mode switch a little too hard still tilts the unit, probably because of the warped base so hopefully no one else has issues with this. The tuner feature is nice to have this away from your amp and works well.

Expensive, but worth it for the live performance features it adds.
I bought a GTX100 with this switch included and found it to be nearly perfect for controlling the amp when playing live. I later bought a GT40 as a practice amp, but it lacked this switch.Rather than cart the switch back and forth between where I play and home, I bought a second GTX-7 to keep with the practice amp. With the cloud backup feature of both amps, I can easily practice with the same setting I use live, but at home.If you have the GTX50 or any of the older GT-series (when updated to the latest firmware), this switch is a must-have for playing live, or serious practice. 100% recommended!

I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD USE IS/LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DO
It stores in the back of my amp (Fender GTX-50) so that's cool. It's sturdy, no lag time. The tuner works well. It is very easy to bank up from 1 to 200 in forward or reverse. Or to change effects on the go. The looper is also very easy to use. I recommend this.
