Lasko20 in. Wind Machine Floor Fan

This is my second Wind Machine. My first one started getting loud bearings after 6 years. I like these fans because they are quiet, light and move a bunch of air for the noise level and dollar. But when I got the second fan it strted making a clicking noise anytime I moved the fan. Eventually it started making a faint whirring sound anytime and then it was making a loud clicking sound.. I didn't have the box to send it back for another and I also didn't want to wait another 6 weeks....So out came the #2 Phillips head and I start the easy disassembly. The plastic fan blade almost FELL off the shaft. It had NO engagement at all with the shaft anymore. I checked for the flat on the motor shaft and the flat on the blade and pressed it home FIRM. It's been working as expected since I re-assembled it.EDIT: I still say this is a great fan WHEN it is working right. But as I said I bought one of these almost 7 years ago that one lasted 6 years and did so without any complaint. That unit had a positive capture of the fan blade (in other words, a nut of some kind). If you order one now what you will receive is a cost reduced model that has a simple press on fan blade. For me, this blade has fallen off twice and each time it gets harder to seat so that it doesn't rotate on the shaft. I hate to say it but my next fan won't be a Wind Machine, ESPECIALLY at the new price.

I love the Wind Machine! I have six of them! One for each husky, one in the bedroom, one in each living room, and one for camping. It kicks out a lot of air, is lightweight, and cools our spaces nicely. It is a good value for the price and has virtually no assembly required. Out of the box and plug it in.

I love this. I like the way it is built. I don’t necessarily think it is quiet but I like everything else about it. It is very affordable. Received when have air conditioning problems and it arrived early so it is helpful with how hot it is right now.

Seriously folks, I love this fan! It’s the only floor fan I’ll buy. I use it for air movement and white noise so I can sleep. Here’s what I love: unlike box fans or metal fans, it doesn’t rattle. You can move the air up or down, the 3 settings are perfect, and for the amount of air flow, it’s strong but not too loud. All in all, the best type of fan I’ve ever owned and I literally will not buy any other type but the Lasko Wind Machine! The one draw back is the price keeps climbing and I worry that sooner, rather than later, it will be to expensive for me to buy.

This is even better than the fan I had that died and I loved that fine. I mostly use it for noise to sleep and it is perfect for that!!It also blows hella cool air which most fans don’t! Definitely recommend this fan

Two stars are mostly for seller, because no where in the photos or description does it say the fan is black. That's what i got. One month after having the fan, the knob came off and had to be glued back on. Pretty sure ita a knock off.

Great for cooling off the room.

Don't hesitate to buy this fan. I've had the same model before, which somehow disappeared during one of my moves, and I like it very much. Very strong airflow on the lowest speed, perfect for living room. It's also quite quiet, with no extra sounds or rattling. I prefer spending a little more, as it's much more stable than a box fan.
