Dennerle6093 Shrimp King - Color, Brown, 1.23 Ounce (Pack of 1)

I bought this because of the ingredient list. A lot of shrimp food has a bunch of filler or lower quality ingredients (yes I know shrimp should eat vegetation but I'm not sure that tons of wheat flour high in the ingredients list is necessary). It seems that Shrimp King brand fills the pellets with various ingredients from many different sources, so it would be as if you are rotating their food for a varied diet.The results don't lie, my shrimps will IMMEDIATELY drop what they're doing or munching on and start sprinting and swimming across the tank when I drop these pellets in. They'll ignore the biofilm and other plant stuff in the tank if they smell this and haven't laid their little claws on it yet.I've been feeding this to my shrimp for a couple of months now and the shrimp seem very active, lively, and they are breeding a ton. Shrimp won't breed if their tank, water, or diet is poor, so the food quality must be helping to some degree.Compared to the "Complete" formula, the "Color" formula uses tiny 2mm-3mm pellets instead of long food sticks. While I do like the food stick format better, the pellets are very good too because it spreads the food across the tank. Bigger shrimp will likely grab an entire pellet to themselves. My only annoyance is the Color pellets don't sink right away because they're so light and have trouble breaking through the surface tension of the water. I usually have to poke at all of the floating pellets to get them to sink to the bottom. Other than that, I'd definitely keep buying this as its a pretty trusted brand among shrimp enjoyers.

My shrimp absolutely love this!! I see a lot of color and breeding. They even grab the pellets and run before another can get it. Just be sure to remove any uneaten food after 24hrs because they start to grow a little fuzzy fungus. But the shrimp usually eat it all up. Nerite snails help with the uneaten food

I can't stress enough how great all shrimp king products are!! What you're seeing in the dish in the pictures is shrimp king color, mineral, and complete..a little bit of each. My RCS absolutely love shrimp king products and it took me about a month to find a food they all love. I tried other products that don't cost as much, but none that were as affective as these products. So if you are like I was and on the fence about trying these products for your shrimp because of the cost and don't want to waste the money because you're unsure, trust me when I say you won't regret it. Ive had my RCS tank up and running for about 2 months and have been feeding shrimp king products for the past 2 weeks and since feeding my RCS have been breeding like crazy and the shrimplets have been thriving just nicely. I also feed Bacter AE for the shrimplets 2-3 times a week which works great as well!! Hope this review helps you guys.

The media could not be loaded. Expiration date should be 2+ years out, not 2 months! How is someone supposed to use a 1+ year supply of tiny shrimp food in 3 months?

This food really works the reds are richer brings the color out makes them beautiful and healthy

Great product, does shows good results on my cherries after few weeks of feeding them with Dennerle 6093 granules.

Tried this colour food on my red cherry shrimps from a small sample packet that I bought from Amazon.It's worked so well on intensifying their colour that I've come back for more. Pro Shrimp sent it out very quickly and even included a free sample pack of another variety of Dennerle shrimp food. Thanks alot.
