Quality made, breathable, and comfortable
I've worn this once on a hike. It wasn't too hard, mostly flat land, but it was comfortable and breathable. The high cut design prevents too much sediments or debris from getting in my shoe. It's high quality and it seems to be durable. I enjoy it a lot and anticipate many more hikes with this shoe.

I really wanted to love these but....
I really wish I could write a good review but I can’t. Yes, fit as expected, very water resistant, great traction and support BUT broke within the first 30 minutes of use. The inner ankle hook for the laces on both feet snapped the very first time I wore them. If it was just one hook, maybe that would be okay and fixable but BOTH hooks have completely snapped off, leaving me with zero ankle support. So disappointed these no longer work since I loved the first thirty minutes in them.

Glad I went a half size up - these are fab boots!
I'm a long time Hi-Tec wearer - I ordered 3 pairs of various Hi-Tec models, had to send them all back because they were too small - so I re-ordered in a half-size larger & they're great!I have issues with my toes, so I need a lot of room in the toe box but going up a half size tends to make the overall boot too large - I counter this by wearing shoe inserts & heavy socks (I have foot problems anyway). So these now fit great - super comfy inner soles, your feet just 'smoosh' into them!! And I love the color mixes - grey & pink, taupe & pinky-purples - so cool, so glad we've gotten away from brown-tan only!I must note, too, that the negative reviews tended to be women wearing these for daily use on the farm and/or landscaping, and then complaining because the boots started to separate/tear after 6 months. These are $45 dollar hiking boots!!! They are not going to stand up to rough wear, wet conditions...I don't mean to sound arrogant, but if you need a heavy duty boot you have to shell out a couple hundred bucks for them. I buy these Hi-Tec for my office-type job or tooling around on weekends, I have a well worn pair of $250 boots for heavy duty hiking (and when they start getting beat, I migrate them down to garden work until I wear them out completely!) My point being that I don't expect $45 boots to last me for more than a couple years of light-moderate use and they're still a great bargain at $22.50/year - less than $2,00 per month for comfortable, stylish, weekend warrior boots!! Gotta love Hi-Tec!!

Would recommend
I bought these shoes before I left on a trip to Iceland. I knew I would be hiking a lot and would need a sturdy hiking shoe that were comfortable and would keep my feet dry. These definitely did the job! I hiked in the rain and near/behind waterfalls and my feet never got wet. These held up just as well as my friend's hiking shoes but cost half the price of hers. They appear to be fairly true to size, I normally wear a 6.5 or 7 and ordered the 7. They fit really well- though I did wear a slightly thicker sock (wool). Here's a pic of the shoes after a muddy trek, brown pair. And my socks stayed dry and clean!

Comfy, warm and dry!
I purchased these as I needed a hiking boot and the price was right, except the right price was only in 'pink'. I wasn't thrilled about the color, but once I received them they were actually nicer in person and grew on me.The first time I wore them was for a 4 mile walk. The only problem I had was rubbing on my outside ankle. I managed to push my pants down in, adjust the lace and I was ok. The second time I had the same issue, but not as bad. The third time and since I've not had an issue with rubbing on the inside of my ankle. I do tuck my pants inside them, which may have helped. My biggest annoyance is all the little pebbles and dirt that kicks up and goes into my boot. I usually have to take them off once to empty them.I have worn them in below freezing temps, in snow and rain, my feet never got wet. I have not actually put my feet in water above the lace line to see if they leak. I did order a size up as I have wide feet, I have plenty of room in the toe box so I can wear heavier socks if necessary without feeling tight, but they are not so big that they feel loose.

Very sturdy and comfortable
At first these boots were a little stiff and almost uncomfortable, especially above my ankle where they rubbed a little. Like most shoes, you have to wear them awhile, which I did. After a couple more wearings/breaking in, they really began to feel comfy. With thick socks the toe box is a little tight, but you just don't wear thick socks. These were a great purchase for the price!

Tested this weekend!
I wore these on a three-hour moderate terrain hike this weekend, and they were great! I feel I have thicker than average calves/ankles (I SAID IT), so I have a little bit of bruising up around that area from breaking these in, but overall, very comfortable and easy to find footing with on the trail. QUICK NOTE: zero traction on snowpack/ice. ZERO. AWESOME for dirt/rock, etc. Terrible for snowpack. I cannot stress that enough.

They are less bulky then you would think!
Bought these shoes for my daughter who has balancing issues due to neuropathy which has caused her to have nerve damage to the point she can not feel her feet at all.I got these because I was afraid of her always losing her balance that she would either sprain an ankle or falling and really hurting herself. These are just what I wanted for her and she loves them! They have awesome grip, great colors and best of all my daughter really enjoys wearing them without them looking too bulky.I will be buying more of these in the future.

Zero break in time!!
I think these run a teeny bit small. I wear an exact 8 but always buy any boots in a full size bigger (I like to wear really thick socks). I ordered a 9 and found them to fit just right - so no thick socks with these I'm afraid. Not sure if a 10 would have been too big so sticking with the 9. I literally put these on and went on a hike. Absolutely no rubbing anywhere. Was good to go at the start and still uber comfortable. Great hiking boots. Haven't lept in any puddles yet and don't intend to so not sure if they are waterproof. : )

Too small and insufficient cushioning
Would have loved to love this boot but unfortunately, not this time. It is too short, despite my ordering my regular size 7, my big toe if hitting the tip of the shoe. The insole is too hard for me. No cushioning to my liking. This is my second pair of these high cut shoes in different brands and I am having to return both. The first pair was by MerrellFrom now on, I will order the next size up and I will no longer try to fit in a high cut shoe.I will keep looking for a hiking shoe that better meets my needs for my daily walks

Size 11 was TOO SMALL!
I ended up giving these to my hubby, who normally wears a size 9 Men's and these were just big enough. I wear 10.5-11 and these were narrow and way too tight. Nicely made boot though, and it was a warehouse deal and only cost $37.00!

Thank You for such a wonderful product.
My feet are warm and dry...i have some severe foot issue due to a surgery on my knee. Finding boots and shoes to wear is a difficult task. I have arthritis on the outside edge of my left foot and numbness in my 3 last toes and I get burning feelings if I stand too long. They severed my left leg below my knee and turned it slightly, just enough to change my gate and cause severe issues in my foot. These boots give my foot stability and comfort which is very hard to find these days. Thank You for such a wonderful product.
