Will slow hairloss down. Will not stop it or reverse it in the long run!
Alright, I've been using this for about 5 years now. I'm a very religious user, and have probably missed less than 5 days in the entire 5 years I've been using it. First off, THIS WILL LIKELY NOT REGROW HAIR, AND WILL PROBABLY NOT STOP HAIR LOSS ENTIRELY. It will, however, definitely slow the process down. Now, a lot of people might think that I'm wrong, and in some cases I almost undoubtedly am. However, in most cases, Minoxidil will only help with slowing hair loss down in the long run. It is easy to see benefits of using this within the first year, but after that, even with continued use, most men will continue to experience some degree of hair loss. I know men who are almost completely bald who have been using Minoxidil for 15 years, and started back when they still had hair. So, as far as its effectiveness goes, it will help, but it's not a cure. Now for more on this particular product. It has been great. It's cheap, lasts a while, and it does help. The bad is that it is greasy and not very practical to use unless you have very short hair. It will make your hair cling together for a few hours, and despite what they say, it can't really be styled or messed with during this time. Once it's dry, your hair will be pretty much the same as ever. So it's great before bed, but tough to figure out a routine that works in the mornings, before work or school or whatever else you have. Also, you have to go to bed with your wife with greasy hair, and it can get on your pillows and stuff, so keep that in mind.I'll continue to use it as it's cheap and does have some effect, but I also use finasteride, which is much more effective. And, I hate to admit it, I recently had a hair transplant too. Time will tell whether or not I regret doing that.... But we're all in the same boat, right? It's a horrible feeling to look in the mirror and see your forehead getting longer and your hair becoming more and more transparent... Sigh...

An honest no BS account of my Minoxidil usage(and why I had to stop).
I used this product for about 5 months, here's my personal experience(your mileage may vary). The initial itching/slight burning sensation immediately after application to my skin/beard went away after 6-8 weeks, only to be replacedby intense itching in a few spots much like mosquito bites in the middle of the night, it was annoying. That lasted the whole next two months, but since I was seeing "some" new beard growth(very minor though) I also started putting it on the outer edges of my eye brows and saw a few very light hairs starting to grow in. Since it seemed to be sort of working, I figured I'd start applying it to the balding crown of my head and my overly receding hair in the front(and top of my head), so I could maybe stop shaving my head bald if it grew back. I was probably using too much Minoxidil at that point because to cover that much area I had to use twice as much for every application. I had to quit using Minoxidil a week ago after an emergency room visit, seems the minoxidil has a tendency to cause edema, swelling in my feet & ankles, my shoes we're fitting a little snug for a couple of weeks and I didn't think anything of it until one evening my wife came into the room to talk to me after I had taken off my shoes and socks and said"WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR FEET, I CAN'T SEE YOUR ANKLES!", I looked down and saw that they had puffed up like sausages straight off the grill. After 7 days of not using Minoxidil they're almost back to normal, one is still slightly puffy. Other side effects I experienced that were tolerable were:Blurred Vision after application, on more occasions that not.Feeling of lethargy an hour after morning application, most mornings I went back to sleep for an hour or two after putting it on.When waking up in the middle of the night there was this weird taste in my mouth that drinks of water couldn't make go away.My eye lashes got long enough to hit the lenses of my prescription sunglasses. The hair in my nose grew faster and thicker, requiring more frequent nose hair trimming.Where I had maybe 10-12 light hairs on my chest before, now had 20-25 not so light hairs.my legs/arms started to look hairier.a few hairs started growing above and below my belly button where there were none before. My pubic hair got darker and bushier (that's great if you want to look like a porn star from the 70's, not the look I'm after though).FINAL THOUGHTS:Even though Minoxidil has the potential to re grow new hairs they seem to always be stuck in the peach fuzzy phase, it also thickens your pre existing hair which will not match the color or texture of your new growth. If I were to let the hair on my head grow to half an inch, or an inch or so, I would still look like Frier Tuck wearing a yamaka, it just doesn't look natural. In regards to my beard, I think it grew a tiny tiny tiny bit thicker, but the weak spots are still there with no hair. The edema(swollen ankles&feet) episode was the deal breaker though, I'm not willing to sacrifice my health for vanity, so, it's back to shaving my head, and growing my beard the hard way, start exercising again eat well and take a few vitamins like folic acid & biotin. And so ends my Minoxidil "journey", beard growing Youtubers like to call it that, but from now on I'll refer to it as "my Minoxidil journey to the emergency room".update: I forgot about one more side effect it had on my, darkish bags under by eyes, made me look really tire. When ever I rubbed my eyesI could feel the bags getting moved around.

lowers blood pressure (only if you have high blood pressure is this a pro) works fast like within a month you'll see progress Co
So this review is based off of someone who has been using minoxidil for almost 3 months so do not take my word so seriously but, from using it in this amount of time i have come a mostly positive conclusion from using it. Also this applies to specifically people using it on their faces, but people using it on their scalp can also take most of these pointers into consideration.Pros:Hair!!!lowers blood pressure (only if you have high blood pressure is this a pro)works fast like within a month you'll see progressCons:Dry skin , depending on your skin, mines has literal flakes like a lizards scale yuck!dark spots on eyes, some report this as a side effect i havent seen it yetwrinkles( this is a result of using it on the face not on the head)Drying time have to wait 2 hours before going to bed plan aheadSo while minoxidil has way more negatives than positives for using it as a beard and scalp promoter here are the main reason you should use it . That is hair if you dont care about being bald or not having facial hair do not try minoxidil it takes commitment 2 times a day and battling dry skin. Its easy but if your not determined you can easily give up if you dont see results and you'll lose progress as minoxidil on your face needs the hair to turn terminal meaning 6 months - 1.5 year is pretty long commitment so do not give up if you truly want to do this and do not let negative comments deter you.
