Love these songs
Purchased a copy for each of our kids to use for the grandkids. Great memories of when they were young and we all listened together.

Love It
By granddaughter loves listening to this in the car. It has helped her with her kindergarten skills. When I received it, the case had a long scratch on the cover and the plastic thing in the middle that holds the CD in the case was all busted up so it slids around in the case.

Taught my daughter to read
My daughter learned to read at age three listening to this (cassette tape at that time) with the accompanying card. Apple.. apple... ah ah ah. It drove me nuts but she really learned to read, she would follow me around asking me to read the card to her, which was just letters and pictures. I remember when discovery toys was a whole line of fun educational products before baby Einstein was even a thing.

Best for Early Childhood!!
As a Kindergarten teacher, I love "Sounds Like Fun." I am so sad that it is no longer in production. It covers counting to 30, Counting by 10s, Opposites, Days of the Week, Months of the Year, Alphabet Sounds, Good Manners, and since our school teaches Spanish K-12, I love the Spanish tracks on it! The songs are so gentle and the letter sounds well articulated. Playing it in the background of the classroom during pack-up @ the end of the day has a very calming effect on the students. I'm so disappointed I will be unable to purchase it for my new team. Sounds Like Fun, you will be missed!

EXCELLENT teaching tool for letters and sounds, easy on the parents ears too!
I purchased this CD 9 years ago and have used it through 4 kids. I love it. The best song is the alphabet sounds as it teaches the sounds, not just the letters. As a parent, it's easy to listen too...not annoying, but calming. The singer has a smooth voice and enunciates well. The music is soft and complimentary to the singers voice and the words. Excellent quality in the vocals, music and songs. This would be an excellent gift for a brand new mom, as she'll be able to use it with future children.

Multiple Generations
I used to play this regularly for each of my children at bed time. I think the best review I can offer is that both of my sons now in their late 20's have children of their own and they both play this for my grandchildren having begged me for copies of the tape. My 15 year old daughter is listening to it as I write this for the first time in many years and remembers almost every one of the songs. It is the repetition, the consistant patterns in the voice, and the valuable messages that make this such an effective and lovable set of songs. I can't help but believe this tape has helped every one of my children learn, and each remembers this tape fondly. I highly recommend this for any preschool child.

Grows on you...
Unlike a previous poster, I don't think this woman's voice is "horrible." I am not sure what she means by that because at least Ms. Milne can carry a tune versus American Idol contestants. But I digress... at first, this CD did not appeal to me because of how mellow it is. I was accustomed to the likes of children's artists such as Steve Songs, Peter Himmelman, and Brady Rymer. These guys have soul. But the thing I like about the Barbara Milne CD is that she is soothing and there seem to be better learning opportunities. I am convinced the simple repetition will sink in and my 4 year old will get something out of it. Although a song about "feet" by Peter Himmelman can be funny and catchy, I like the fact that Milne teaches the months of the year or how to count to 100 by tens. She throws in a couple standards like the Muffin Man and Where Has My Little Dog Gone. The only thing I find weird is that she decides to put the "months" song on the CD twice.
