Amazing manual grinder
I've worked first hand in the coffee industry in a coffee producing country for several years. I've use top notch electrical grinder brands like Mahlkönig, Eureka, Rancilio and Bunn, so I would say my standards for grind consistency are very high. I'm genuinely impressed by the grind quality this little manual grinder offers for its price point.I use the Crushgrind Colombia exclusively for brewing on V60, Kalita and Chemex, and it works brilliant. As other said, grinding will require some elbow grease, and 1 or 2 beans may pop out while grinding if the unit is not held stable. To be honest, for me, it's not an issue at all. Grind output is not perfect by any means, you will get powder, but for the cost of the unit, is completely acceptable. Get a Kruve Sifter and you will get even more amazing results.Without hesitate I will recommend the the Colombia for home/work/travel.Overall, amazing product. Get it, you will not be disappointed.

Superb grinder
GadgetViper has a fabulous video review on YouTube and based on that, I purchased a CrushGrind. I simply could not be happier. Better by a factor of 10 than the Hario hand grinder - as well as others in that class. The grind is consistent, and quick. Takes a little more effort, but the beans are pulled straight into the ceramic burrs so your not spinning and spinning the handle for very little results. Most impressive. You can grind to the finest turkish powder imaginable, all the way to coarse. I use a NanoPresso which requires a consistent grind for top results. This delivers in spades. Shop around though. While its worth every penny of $50, I found mine for 1/2 that and you may be able to as well. Check out that video mentioned above.

Poor quality/cheap materials, breaking quickly, efficient grind.
Bought this grinder a few years ago on Kickstarter. Have only used it a few times over the years. Straight out of the box, the magnet that is supposed to keep the handle in place when not in use fell out- so I’ve been using a Velcro strap to keep in in place. Over time with limited use and careful handling, primarily in the house, catcher for ground coffee - plastic cracking and have even found pieces of it falling into the ground coffee. Also the grind adjustment dial is only working sporadically. No numbers on the adjustment dial is disappointing if you change brew styles frequently. 2 stars in spite of the poor quality of materials because it grinds efficiently and is good to travel with. Won’t buy from this company again.

This is incredibly consistent grinder!
This grinder is really incredible. I have had other grinders in the past and this one has a very consistent grind size. I also forgot to change the grind the first time and this was able to make a turkish grind.

Brilliant burr grinder
Really well built, good materials and classy. It's clearly going to last a very long time.Something you can't tell from the description nor reviews is that the body of the grinder has a small magnet in it to hold the handle in place. It's the same size of an AeroPress. The burs are very stable.Takes me about 30 seconds to fine grind about 10 grams of coffee. The result is pretty consistent. I'd honestly have to go to something 4x or 6x more expensive to get better results. The only downside is that there is no indication to let you know what the burr fineness-setting is... you just have to try and fail. Not a problem for me, as I always grind the same fineness, but worth noting for those using multiple brewing systems.Brilliant grinder. Good job, Crushgrind!

Lovely design.
See positive updates below.Grinder arrived, lots of excitement.Feels lovely in the hand, well balanced and has a cool metallic feel to it but I understand it's some composite material.I adjusted the bottom dial to what I hoped would be an aeropress setting and popped in 20g of beans. Moderate effort required but nothing excessive, this feels great I thought, after about 30 seconds all beans ground so into aeropress. That was the end of the good news. I'll be honest the coffee didn't taste bad but as you can see from the first photo the grind size varies enormously. About half the grinds are aeropress fine and have are French press coarse (and that's being generous).Upon investigating I could see that the crown of the grinder is offset and there is a noticeable widening of the gap on one side.I don't know how typical this is but this grinder is useless to me which is really disappointing as I think it looks and feels great.Note the ease with which I could grind the coffee even on a fairly fine setting is obvious helped by the yawning gap in the grind mechanism.UPDATE from 1* to 3*s. I really like the grinder and choose to assume my one was damaged in a freak accident. As I can return the grinder free of charge for a full refund 3*s seems a fair rating and I wish the company well.2nd update. Bought replacement grinder directly from CrushGrind and very impressed with performance when used with Aeropress and Moka pot.

Fantastic manual burr grinder - Edit: Unable to recommend now
I've been toying with getting an electric burr grinder for ages particularly as I managed to get a whole shelf full of coffee beans rather than my usual ground coffee. I've been using a Breville BlendActive to grind these beans but a blade grinder is simply useless for beans. It's far too course and inconsistent. However, after reading, watching videos, etc. I opted to go for a manual grinder and eventually whittled it down to a couple and finally went for the CrushGrind Columbia. When it arrived I was a bit concerned at how small the thing is. It kinda looks bigger on the YouTube videos. However, it does look rather smart, and I love the magnetic thingy (I'm very descriptive) to hold the handle in place during storage. I was, however, disappointed with the grounds receptacle (oh yes, I am very descriptive), even though I knew it was made of plastic, it felt weak and not very sturdy, which isn't what you want in a £30 grinder. There are no real instructions other than turning it clockwise or anticlockwise will determine how fine or coarse your grinds are. There's no indication of how they'll turn out other than to grind some beans and see.I whacked a few beans in, and, maybe it's the lack of gym all pandemic, but maaaaaaan, this was incredibly hard going. The sheer grip strength needed was immense, and I swear I was sweating the first time in. HOWEVER, over the course of a few days, this got easier and easier. Maybe it was technique rather than brute strength, but now I can grind away without suffering hand cramps. This grinder is an absolute doddle to use now.I grind my beans for use with an Aeropress, and after working out the settings required, this grinder is consistent with its grinding.Worth every penny.Edit: What I originally scored as 4/5 I’ve had to reduce down to 1/5. In less than 3 months the plastic jar where your grinds end up had developed several cracks. LESS THAN THREE MONTHS!When I contacted Amazon they offered a partial refund if I could get a replacement plastic jar, but, sadly, Amazon don’t sell them. So I was offered a complete replacement, which I have taken them up on.I may revisit this review as there’s always the possibility that the one I originally bought was defective in some way. That said, I did voice concerns in my original review about the weakness of this part.It is such a shame as this was working out to be a fantastic grinder.

Excellent Grinder, Very consistent grinds, Easy to configure to get correct grind sizes.
This Grinder might seem slightly higher priced compared to others, but the consistent grind with the ceramic burrs along with the precise clicking mechanism to increase/decrease the grind size makes it totally worth it. I use this item to grind my "Ethiopian Yirgacheffe" coffee beans which are then used along-side the "Flair Signature Espresso". manual machine. I have total control of the Grind size with this and have managed to dial in the settings precisely to reproduce consistent quality espresso with lots of Crema time after time. I do have to adjust the setting for different coffee beans, But I write down how many clicks are required on the grinder per type of bean and this seems to work out very well. The only negative I can find is the amount of effort required to grind more than 2 shots worth of coffee. This isnt really a problem with the grinder though, more to do with my overall strength. (I am only a very small guy).It doesnt become unbearable, it just takes a bit of effort. Not enough to put me off making many espressos a day for myself and partner. If you want quality, consistent grinded coffee beans with the ability to dial in the settings to get the best experience for your machine, then dont hesitate to purchase this item!Ceramic burrs seem to be the best option too.I am pretty new to espresso so its definitely beginner friendly too if this helps.Good look and happy espresso making

Absolutely perfect. Highly recommend.
Perfect, much quicker at grinding than the average grinder, huge range of grind settings, it will go to espresso and finer! (I use a pour over grind size). Very consistent too. Neat for travel, handle does stay on well when in closed position. (I thought it would come off, but magnet is decent). It won’t stand up when the handle is attached in grind mode, but that’s not really a problem. I have stopped using my electric grinder at home because this is quicker, quieter and better! Takes a bit of strength to use. I would definitely buy this again and I highly recommend. I use 12gram coffee beans per cup and I can only just fit 24grams in it, sometimes the odd bean won’t fit at that amount but that really is pushing what it’s for, it’s so quick you can just grind twice.
