Bianchi X15 Shoulder Holster - Tan

This is a very comfortable and affordable shoulder holster; a tough, well made and traditional system, but still as useful as ever. Great for CC heavier, larger revolvers, pistols. The one side open pouch double bolt / spring-system holds the weapon in place, yet provides fast accessibility and draw. When used in the backcountry under strenuous physical activities, such a climbing, running, jumping etc. two well made, strong, different sized leather straps (provided) can be snapped on to the holster for even more security of the weapon. Made of quality vegetable tanned, thick leather. This is a multi-gun holster, which spreads weight of the weapon well across both shoulders. The belt tie-down is robust and helps to keep the holster close to the body and to sit in place fast. The elastic, flexible and detachable cross-back-under-arm strap works well, but can easily be worn across the chest also, or altogether changed out for one of other material, such as a leather, if so preferred. Easy to put on and off, easy adjustable, great holster!

The reason it is not a 5 star is because it was very difficult to find the correct size for my 1911 Commander. At some sights the sizes are numbered 1----; other sights sizes are small, medium, large etc.. Optic Planet web site does have a size chart which is helpful to a point. The key to the proper size seems to be linked to the Bianchi Manufacturer's P/N. After some frustration and lengthy searching , I through the dart and chose this particular one, hoping I had chosen one that would fit. Fortunately, by chance, I selected the correct one. When it arrived, the Mfrs. P/N on the packening was 12361, which turned out to be the correct P/N and size. I recommend that the Mfrs. P/N be added to all the different sized available so that Amazon as a provider and other providers of the product may be matched up with the Mfrs. P/N(s) shown on the size chart provided by Optic Planet Web site. BTW - my l911 has a streamlight TLR-6 light/laser mounted on it and it fits perfect in this holster. With the "open front" on this rig, any weapon with a light and/or laser "no wider that the slide" would fit well with or without a rail on the frame. I'm very pleased with the rig and looking forward to years of service from it.

Had one of these 30 years ago for a Walther PPK, worked great for that small pistol. Same great quality on this just purchased shoulder holster (don't mess with perfection). Purchased for a Colt 1903 hammerless .32 acp and it fits perfectly! The 1903 has a 3.75 inch barrel length and as you can see in the one pic, appears the small size holster will handle up to 4". The 1903 is a very thin gun and it is easy to insert and remove the firearm. I also have a 3" Colt New Agent in .45 acp. It will also fit, but is extremely tight in the holster.....the steel forms holding the gun would need to be widen to accept the wider slide of the .45 acp weapon.

This is the most comfortable concealed carry holster that I have ever used. I have two of them now. You can carry different pistols with varying barrel lengths because the front of the holster is open. Also, because the front is open, you can put a Laser on the pistol rail and it fits perfectly, because it open and there is nothing to interfere with it. I bought the "medium" and it will accommodate varying barrel lengths, ie: Berretta 92FS, Sig P226, Springfield 1911A1 (full size), Browning Hi-Power, and others as well. Its the best made holster that I've ever used, easy to adjust to varying chest sizes, inside of holster is soft kid leather to protect you gun finish. Its on and off in just about 10 seconds and you can wear it all the time and never know its there. I know, because that's what I do. Its expensive, but worth every penny.

Once I broke it in, it became my favorite holster. I have Crossbreeds for all my other handguns and they are great, but they are for smaller pistols. My Taurus 44 mag with 6.5" barrel only weighs 3 oz more than my everyday carry, but because of its overall length it would be impossible to carry concealed on my hip. Enter the Bianchi X15, it allows me to now carry my 44 concealed quite comfortably. I am a big guy 6'5" 240lbs so this wouldn't be an option for everyone.TIP: This holster really grips the gun with it's tension rod that runs up the inside of the holster. IMPOSSIBLE to draw your weapon without "breaking it in". What I did is take a used D cell battery (width wise not length) and wedged it into the front of the holster between the tension rod as far down to the end of holster I could push it. Then I wrapped a shoelace around the upper part and drew it tight. I let it sit like that for about 3 days until I could draw my gun easier. The top still has a great grip (I don't use the strap), but now the bottom allows the end of the barrel to slide out. Hope that helps!Molon Labe!

The spring is way to tight.the holster as delivered would take the bluing of the pistol in no time!
